Although the title of this game seems fairly definitive, the game itself does not have an overly Eastern feel to it. The background does have a little Japanese style architecture in view, and the bonus symbols do look like shuriken, but many of the symbols used on the main reel set are just typical slot machine fare, such as bells and lucky sevens. The game does look good, but there are countless other online slots with a Japanese theme already, so I am not too upset with Slingshot Studios for going their own way with this one.
As ever, it’s the paytable where things begin to get serious, and on that front, we have a wild symbol paying 62.5x your bet for a full pay line of five-of-a-kind and a payout of 1x your bet for three or more scatters – not sure I would even have bothered with that one guys! The regular symbols kick off at 18.75x for five green lucky sevens, 10x for five purple sevens, or 3.75x for all five blue sevens. You can also mix and match these symbols on a payline for a payout of 1.5x your bet for any five. After this, you have the low paying stuff with payouts between 1x and 1.5x your bet, but there is also the Epic Strike paytable to consider. Over there, we have a top return of 2,500x stake for a full screen of 12 shurikens, dropping to 250x for 10, 30x for 8, and just 1x your bet for three. I really hope you don’t end up triggering that part of the game and only ending up with 1x your bet!
The betting range begins with a minimum stake of €0.20 per spin, topping out 200x higher at €80.00 for each and every round. That’s probably a bit excessive, but there are decent increments between these two extremes which should suit the needs of most players.

Epic Strike Respins
The feature trail displayed above the reels contains yellow and green shuriken, which indicate either an Epic Strike or an Epic Strike re-spins trigger. The yellow re-spin shuriken indicates a re-spin trigger, giving you a chance to trigger the main Epic Strike.
During the re-spins, reels two through four will spin for free featuring re-spin and blank positions only. Any re-spin trigger symbols that appear will become sticky, whilst all other positions will spin again. If at least one re-spin symbol lands, another free spin will be awarded.
The Epic Strike re-spins will finish if you fill the screen, collecting the top prize of 2,500x; trigger the main Epic Strike feature, or hit no more re-spin symbols.
Epic Strike
Sometimes you will be lucky, and the bonus will trigger with a green Epic Strike shuriken, taking you directly to the main part of the feature. In this mode, only winning symbols will appear on the free re-spin reels and can even appear in stacks.
