Jekyllz Wild Ultranudge Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I can’t offer you any alternative slot games based around Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, although I am sure there have been a handful of them over the years. I can point you in the direction of the Wikipedia page, which will tell you the full details of this interesting legend based on a gothic novella by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. The story is one of the most famous pieces of English literature ever written. It is frequently the topic of study by those who wish to gain an English Literature degree – including myself – but I can’t say it was my favourite book on the syllabus. Still, the novella sure beats the NES game, which was a shocking piece of so-called entertainment that I’m extremely glad I never received for Christmas as a child – I fear it may have turned me into Mr Hyde…
Back to the slot of the day now, and the paytable is divided into numerous sections; at the top of the tree sit both Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, who are both wild symbols but sadly do not have any special payouts attached to them. Next, we have the so-called high-paying symbols, including the bell, which pays 5x the bet for a full pay line of five-of-a-kind, a quiver and ink at 2.5x for all five, and a policeman’s helmet, which is worth 1.5x. Ultranudge Feature
Any win that includes either a Jekyll Wild or a Hyde Wild will automatically trigger a ULTRANUDGE, meaning that you will be paid your winnings, and all symbols will nudge down a single row. You will now be awarded a free re-spin, and the procedure will continue until no more wins are visible on the reels. This process can continue indefinitely.
Mr Hyde & Potion Cash Features
The potion bottle symbols have a cash value between 0.2x and 50x your stake. On any spin or an ULTRANUDGE re-spin, one or more Jekyll Wild symbols can randomly transform into Mr Hyde and collect the values of all of the potion bottle symbols that are currently in view. These symbols are only worth the standard paytable value unless this occurs, which can be very frustrating – but also very profitable when Dr Jekyll does come to your assistance!
Bonus Boost

My Hyde’s Free Spins
During this mode, you will begin the feature with 12 free spins, which will increase by one with every ULTRANUDGE feature you manage to trigger. There is also an ascending multiplier during the free spins, which increases in tandem every time the ULTRANUDGE feature is triggered.
Better yet, any winning combination you hit during free spins will automatically trigger an ULTRANUDGE feature, which can cause one winning combination to trigger another in a feedback loop that can seem to go on for a very long time! Unfortunately, this also means you can expect a fair number of dead spins during the feature between those all-important winning spins.
Hitting three diamond symbols during the free spins will trigger an additional set of 12 free spins, but sadly I was not lucky enough to achieve this even once during my testing of the game. If you wish, you can choose to gamble for the chance to start the feature with a 10x multiplier before the bonus begins. However, I would be cautious about exercising this option if I were you – it isn’t worth losing your entire bonus round over, as you can quickly find yourself hitting a 10x multiplier anyway.
Bonus Buy
There are two options in the bonus buy facility – 15 free spins at the cost of 125x the normal stake or 20 super free spins at the expense of 350x. The super free spins include the 10x multiplier that you can opt to gamble for within the price.
In my experience testing both bonus rounds, the super free spins are generally worth the price, but I would still be wary of spending so much on a single bonus round. It only takes one or two bets of 350x the regular stake to empty a typical bankroll, and you can have a lot more fun over a much more extended period by simply playing the slot normally.

I’ve been surprised by quite a few online slots over the past fortnight that have had slightly below average presentation but great feature sets and gameplay.
