It’s a rare thing these days to find horse racing-themed slots – something I actually find myself bemused about, as surely there are a ton of slot players who also enjoy going to races or at least placing bets online. You’d imagine a quality horse racing-themed slot would offer a good crossover for racegoers. The specs above are hardly the most appealing, but as always, it’s important to try out a slot before passing too much judgment. The problem is, at least for me, when reviewing this game, there’s not much to get to grips with and test out. Jump For Glory is a simple slot using a traditional reel format, and only has regular wild symbols and a wild respins feature with a progressive multiplier that can climb as high as 5x.

Jump For Glory Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
I mentioned in the intro that Playtech has used this theme a few times in the past with their Frankie Dettori slots and Grand National Sporting Legends, but unfortunately, not many have left me overly impressed. In fact, it is hard to think of any horse-themed slot that I’ve enjoyed playing. Even more modern titles, such as Inspired Gaming’s Gold Horsey Winner slot, never really ticked any boxes for me, although if you play Happy Hooves from Pragmatic Play, you might get a little more enjoyment, with this being one of the better slots in the genre.
Next stop, we find ourselves at the paytable, and way out in front of the chasing pack is the Trophy symbol, which returns 20x the stake for a five of a kind win. The Jockey and Crowd symbols are next and deliver 10x for a full line of five, whilst the Betting Slip and Beer return max payouts of 6x. At the back of the pack are the low-paying playing card symbols, with the Ace topping the list with a five symbol return of 4x. The King and Queen top out at 3x, and finally, the Jack and Ten offer a max win of 2x.
As is often the case with Playtech slots, you’ll find a comprehensive bet section available to choose from, with the minimum price to play starting at €0.25 and reaching a whopping €500 a spin for those with deep pockets.
Jump For Glory Slot Base Game
There is nothing fancy going on in terms of the base game, which is not the greatest of starts. I’m not just talking about the reel mechanics and reel format either, as there are no base game features aside from a wild symbol that substitutes for regular symbols while also paying 1x and 0.2x for three and two-symbol combinations. Payouts, for the most part, will come your way when three or more matching symbols line up across a payline from left to right. The exceptions are the Trophy, Jockey, and Crowd symbols, which also pay for just two across a line.
Jump For Glory Slot Bonus Features
Jump For Glory is hardly bursting at the seems when it comes to main bonus games either – as there’s just the one, a Wild Respins feature, which also has an increasing win multiplier.
Wild Jockey Respins Feature
Wild Jockey symbols can land on the second, third, and fourth reels and, as with regular wild symbols, will substitute for all regular symbols. However, this will also trigger the Wild Jockey Respins feature if it fills its reel, and you will receive respins with the Wild Jockey moving one position to the left after each spin until it falls off the reels. A win multiplier also increases by 1x for each position they move and can grow as high as 5x.

Jump For Glory Slot Review Final Thoughts
To be honest, It didn't take long for my hopes of Jump For Glory being a good horse racing-themed slot to fizzle out. There’s just nothing going on apart from the Wild Respins feature, which hardly sets the world alight both in terms of enjoyment and winning potential. Fans of the sport may find some entertainment here, but I cannot see this slot doing much more than disappearing into the distance, much like a 150/1 shot at the national.
