They must be having a bit of a Norse mythology love in over at Pragmatic Play, as the last game that I reviewed from them, titled Fury of Odin Megaways, followed that theme too. It’s fair to say they are not the only provider though, that utilises the popularity of this genre to fill a few gaps in their portfolio, with recent slots like Volatile Vikings 2 Dream Drop being released by Relax Gaming to help quickly pile up some games in their new Dream Drop Jackpot series of slots. Yes, this is another go-to niche that software houses can add to the list of western, Irish, mining, book, and fishing themed games that we are constantly bombarded with. To the task in hand then, and let’s find out where Kingdom of ASGard fits into all of this.
Starting with the paytable then, the premium symbols consist of four Viking warriors. First up is the red warrior, who will pay 12.5x for a five of a kind win. Pragmatic Play must be one of the most prolific tier-one slot providers with regard to how much content they pump out in one month. However, quantity doesn’t always mean quality, and although a Pragmatic release is always guaranteed to look the part, some games can be very alike.
This isn’t the first time we have seen a collect style slot from the provider, and I dare say it won’t be the last either; there is also a huge Big Bass Bonanza element to Kingdom of ASGard, too, so it’s a kind of splice of games put together to pull in different fans of different slots within their portfolio.
Overall it’s probably worth a few spins, and whilst I’m sure this game will have its admirers and fans, it just wasn’t for me, and it’s not a game I would play for real money.
