Kings Of Crystals Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
We’ve seen many games based on the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, but I’m not sure who this particular group of kings are – they seem to be based on stereotypical imagery of a noble king, a brutish king, and … a strange king? I’m honestly not sure about the blue guy. I bet he’s the one hoarding all the crystals. Graphics wise, I found this game looked much better on smaller displays, suggesting that the assets haven’t been created in the best possible “vector” manner used to suit today’s wide range of internet access devices. I could be wrong about this, but it seems like the most likely explanation. The soundtrack is an eclectic mix of utterly dramatic during the main game, and very “The Settlers” like in the paytable and other settings pages. I quite enjoyed the contrast between the two, and the beat which plays in between spins somehow seemed to tempt me into just one more spin. Nice work, All41 sound engineers.
Speaking of the paytable, the benevolent looking “green” king takes pride of place with a monster payout of … umm, 5x your stake? Yes, this was the first surprise of the day for sure. How can the top symbol only be worth 5x your stake in a game that uses traditional paylines? It’s all down to the stacked wild symbols which occur on the centre three reels. With a full stack on all three reels that 5x can soon turn into something much, much better. The other two kings pay just 2.5x your stake for a full line of five – no better than the gauntlet or grail symbols. If I was one of those other two kings, I’d be pretty annoyed about this – All41 Studios would be banished to the land of the green king, if their heads stayed intact.
The minimum bet is set at €0.40 which is pretty standard for a 40 payline game. The top end of the scale is set at a shockingly sensible €20.00 per spin – it seems to have been a bit of a craze lately for slot developers to set the maximum per spin at something ridiculous like €100.00 per spin, a level I would never encourage anybody to be playing at no matter how wealthy they might be.
Base Game & Modifiers
The game takes place on a 5×4 playfield, so fairly standard just with an extra row along the top. This does mean that the 40 pay lines are sorely needed as there are a total of 1,024 different ways to cross a 5×4 grid – only being paid out for 40 of them means you need to be quite lucky to score winning combinations if you don’t get a couple of stacks of wilds in the centre of the screen.
All of the modifiers in this game only activate during the bonus rounds, so let’s get straight onto talking about those.
Kings Of Crystals Slot Bonus Feature
There are three different scatter symbols in this game, but rather than needing a certain number of them to land on screen at the same time to trigger the relevant features, you simply need to collect five matching symbols to invoke that king’s free spin round. This is interesting, as the scatter symbols continue to fall during the free spins. You can activate multiple features at once or upgrade your existing free spins feature with the modifiers that are usually present in a different one.
Red Scatter Free Spins Feature
Collecting five red scatters activates five free spins, during which any wilds that land on the middle three reels will automatically nudge up or down to fill the entire reel. This can pay huge, as you would expect, if you can land a wild on three of the middle three reels… but the Brutish king isn’t done yet.
The playfield will also be expanded to a 5×6 playfield – an extra row along both the top and the bottom – and this new, expanded play area has a full 100 pay lines spanning it now. Those low pay outs on the paytable are finally making sense!

Green Scatter Free Spins Feature
You’d expect this to be the top feature, given that the benevolent looking king is coloured green, and you would be right. Collecting five green scatters awards ten free spins with the chance to win one of the fixed jackpots by collecting coin symbols. The only trouble is, these coins can also just award a small cash prize rather than one of the letters you need to win a progressive jackpot.
You’ll need to spell out the words GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR, or MINI to collect a jackpot prize.
Blue Scatter Free Spins Features
Finally, collect five blue scatters and you will start another five free spins bonus where each spin has a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x added to any winnings you might happen to win along the way.
