The game features jumbo symbols that can appear in both 2×2 and 3×3 configurations, and these are especially valuable because they also come with a multiplier attached. The 2×2 symbols can have multipliers of between 3x and 5x, whilst the larger 3×3 symbols are guaranteed to be worth at least 5x, potentially even as much as 10x.

In Greek Mythology, Perseus is the legendary founder of the Perseid Dynasty. Alongside Cadmus and Bellerophon, these three warriors were the greatest slayers of fabled monsters of their time and were supposedly even responsible for the killing of Medusa. He was the son of Zeus, the mortal Danae, and the half-brother and great grandfather of Heracles – quite the lineage; I am sure you will agree. I never quite understand why PG Soft insists on complicating their wager selection screen – there are four columns labelled bet size, bet level, base bet, and bet amount, which make it a little quicker to access the two extremes of €0.20 and €100.00 for each round.

The base game of Legend of Perseus is a little more interesting than some other slots because the game includes larger jumbo symbols. Unfortunately., each jumbo symbol only counts as a single position; this means that a 3×3 wild, for example, will not behave the same as nine individual wild symbols for the purposes of calculating your winnings. Still, the larger playfield looks fascinating, especially when it is filled with symbols of varying sizes.
