It is pretty remarkable how many Irish-themed slots are on the market. What’s even more extraordinary is that game providers continue to create them. So, I guess from that; we have to assume players still have an appetite for spinning the reels on all things related to The Land of Saints and Scholars. Where did this fascination begin though? Well, arguably, the most famous slot with a leprechaun attached to it has to be SG Gaming’s iconic Rainbow Riches. That game is, of course, now some 20 years old, so it makes perfect sense that newer slots have been developed. But do we really need so many? Maybe we do. Anyway, let’s get stuck into Leprechaun Riches and see what it has to offer.
What better place to start than the paytable, and at the top of the pile is the leprechaun’s hat paying 8x for a six of a kind win. PG Soft usually create games that are displayed in a mobile portrait format, so to see a slot played in a landscape style certainly made me double-check that this was actually a game they created. After I confirmed it was, it was down to business, and I found a reasonably tidy game that provided a limited amount of entertainment.Fans of PG Soft will no doubt appreciate Leprechaun Riches a little more than I, but before its release, I had already played dozens of other Megaways slots that offer exactly the same features, so there was nothing new or exciting to really make me want to stay and play it more. Overall it's worth a few spins, but unless you're a diehard PG player, I suspect you'll quickly tire of this one.
