Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

We’ve covered numerous slots here on our site in the past from provider Blueprint Gaming and have, on more than one occasion, commented how they are responsible for some of the best and most popular slot franchises in the UK. One such series is the Luck O’ The Irish collection of games, and we can reveal that Blueprint is set to treat fans to yet another instalment in their title, Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold. What about those juicy in-game stats, you ask? Well, we have a 5-reel slot complete with 10 paylines, an RTP of 95.50% and a maximum win of 500x bet.

The feature set within the slot is somewhat limited, but if you’ve played these games online or in land-based premises before, you will know that is the nature of the beast. However, we do have a couple of bits to tell you about. First is the mystery symbol, where all instances of it that land in view will transform into a randomly selected symbol from the paytable. Secondly, we have the Rainbow Scatter that can only be revealed through the mystery symbol. You’ll need a minimum of three to appear for a prize to be awarded from Rainbow Trail, but if you hit nine, you’ll trigger the Big Money Bonus, where pots will spin, and the Mega Jackpot of 500x can be awarded.

Has the Luck O’ The Irish franchise of slots been kind to you over the years, and are you a diehard fan? Then why not see what this version of the game has to offer and try out our free demo slot of Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold, it’s available to play below.

I wonder which theme has been used the most for online slots? Surely both Egyptian and Irish have to be among the top 5, right? One thing for sure is that the guys over at Blueprint love an Irish-themed game, and it’s no surprise considering the massive success they have had with their Luck O’ The Irish franchise. If you’re curious to find out more about this collection of games, then you could always do a quick search in our engine at the top of the site, which would reveal Luck O’ The Irish Mystery Ways Fortune Play, Luck O’ The Irish Gold Spins Fortune Play, Luck O’ The Irish Big Bonus, and Luck O’ The Irish Megaways. So, that list is set to get a little longer after we have finished today’s review, so let’s jump in at the pays section and see what wins could be coming your way.

You know the drill by now here at Demoslot; we’re going to start things off at the very top of the paytable, where we have the pot of gold as the highest value symbol worth 500x for a five of a kind win. Next is the red gem valued at 40x, followed by the green and blue gem with equal values of 30x bet for a completed line of five. Onto the low pays, and there are five royal symbols, with the Ace and King both paying 20x for a full payline of five, and finally, the Queen, Jack, and Ten all paying 10x the bet for a five of a kind hit.

Tapping or clicking the stack of coins will bring up the wagering options, where you’ll find the minimum/maximum limits of €0.10 and €10 in place, respectively. There are around 15 other options within this range to choose from, and from taking a look at those values, they seem evenly spread out, making the game accessible to players of all sized budgets.

Base Game & Modifiers

Luck O' The Irish Go For Gold Slot Base Game
Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold slot base game

A classic reel matrix of 5×3 in size is in play on Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold with 10 fixed paylines for players to land wins upon. The pay system is quite unique, and as long as the symbols are placed on an active payline, three that match on adjacent reels anywhere will pay a win.

Mystery Symbols

The mystery symbol is represented by the Luck O’ The Irish logo and can land on any position on the reels. After a spin has ended, all instances of the mystery will transform into a randomly selected symbol from the game.

Rainbow Trail

Positioned to the left of the reels, you will see the Rainbow Trial. To win a prize from this feature, you will need the mystery symbol to land and transform into the rainbow symbol. If at least three appear, you will be awarded the corresponding prize from the trail.

Luck O’ The Irish Go For Gold Slot Bonus Features

Whilst there is no free spin feature in the game, players can trigger the Big Money Bonus by revealing nine or more rainbow symbols when the mystery symbols land in view.

Big Money Bonus

Once activated, fans of the Rainbow Riches slot franchise will find this feature very familiar. There are now four fixed jackpots positioned across the top of the game, whilst underneath, a lucky leprechaun can be found surrounded by various pots of gold, each with a jackpot value or mystery amount upon them. These will begin to spin and finally come to rest, with the pot above the arrow being awarded as your prize.

Pros

  • Another addition to one of the best loved slot franchises in the UK.
  • Wins can be achieved multiple ways across the reel matrix.

Cons

  • The bonus feature is a bit of a copy of Rainbow Riches.
  • Below average RTP of 95.50%.

Final Thoughts

I still do have a few quid in the Luck O' The Irish slots when I'm playing in arcades, but to be honest, I've never really got into the games online. I'm not sure why that is, but probably because there's just so much more choice and new slots always being released for you to play rather than sticking with classics that you know.I guess to wrap this review up, I'd say that Luck O' The Irish Go For Gold is a fairly decent slot, but I do wonder how many players would rather spin the reels on Rainbow Riches, with the main feature almost being an exact copy.
