Game Overview
Lucky 5 came online in 2015 to complement BetGames already growing collection of live lotto games. It joins similar lotto titles in the brand’s portfolio: Lucky 6, Lucky 7, and Instant Lucky 7, all available for demo play here on Demoslot. As with most of its lotto games, the number indicates how my balls are drawn for each lotto game. Once you have placed your bets, the machine will randomly deliver 5 balls out of 36. Lucky 5 is a non-RNG game streamed live with a live host, a 95% RTP and a max win worth 1,000x your bet.
Each game round becomes available every 3 minutes and 10 seconds apart. You’ll have 20 seconds to choose from 94 different bets available, which I’ll explain below. The balls are numbered between 1 and 36 in different colours, which are white, green, red, and blue. It is these 4 colours that give you so many betting opportunities on Lucky 5 live. It is worth noting that there is a live lotto machine in the studio streamed to your screen in ultra-HD. Therefore, all results are non-computer generated, thus no RNGs are in play.
One of the reasons you’ll find Lucky 5 available for demo play here on Demoslot is that BetGames has created a lobby that allows players to test its games out using free play chips, so the good news is, you can take this game for a test ride below.
Lucky 5 theme, stakes, pays & symbols
BetGames has four lotto-style games, with Lucky 5 drawing the least amount of balls versus Lucky 6 (6 balls), Lucky 7 (7 balls), and Instant Lucky 7 (7 balls). There are also other live lotto games out there with BetGames competitor and partner TVBet, which is similar to BetGames. Its live game collection includes 1Bet, 5Bet, 7Bet, Luck 6, Keno, and Fast Keno. However, if you are looking for demo games, then search for Keno 80, Keno Spribe, and Keno Deluxe RNG games available for demo play here on Demoslot.
Moving swiftly back to Lucky 5, there are 94 bets available per betting round. Each bet you select will be added to your bet card. As for the bet volatility, the higher the bet multiplier, the more volatile the bet is, so there is a mix of high-risk bets for high rewards and vice versa. Lower-risk bets pay 1.03, while the highest-risk bet pays 1,000x your bet.
How to Play Lucky 5
You’ll need to wait 3 minutes and 10 seconds between each round to place a bet. During this time, I found that when I switched to other BetGames lotto titles, the timers were not in sync with Lucky 5, so I could keep my momentum going playing on Lucky 7, then Lucky 6, and switching back to Lucky 5 just in time for the next betting round.
As there are 94 bets, I would suggest getting acquainted with the options available during the countdown, as you can still browse the available bets while the timer is ticking down. When the timer hits zero, the Lucky 5 studio will stream live on your screen. You can now single-click/tap a bet to add it to your bet slip and then place the amount you want to bet for each one you add to the slip. You also have the option to auto-bet so that the same bets will be placed for the next 1,3, 5, 10, 25, or 50 draws.
As the draw begins, the host will call out the numbers, and you will also see an enlarged view of the pipe the balls are sucked into from the lotto dispenser. Once all 5 balls are out, Lucky 5 will instantly pay, and the countdown timer will reset. For the more strategic lotto players out there, you have the option to see historical results via a graphic helping you divide into hot and cold numbers or colours.
Pros
- Perfect for players who like games; you can apply a variety of strategies.
- It is an excellent game for leveraging low, medium, and high-volatility bets.
- No RNGs with 100% natural results.
Cons
- 95% is on the low side, a whole 1% lower than your average online slot.
- With so many betting options, newbies might be put off.
Lucky 5 Review Final Thoughts
Before I reviewed Lucky 5, I thought, let’s make this a quick one because 94 betting options felt a little daunting as I am more accustomed to bingo/lotto games with only a few bets to choose from. However, after a few rounds, I found my groove and ended up glued for over 200 rounds over a few days. The coloured ball bets are actually reasonably easy to master as they make up 60 betting options, and they are the same bet regurgitated for each coloured ball set. Numbered bets were the easiest to get to grips with as they give you bets akin to Roulette or Sic Bo set of bets while betting on different colours just added to the fun. Final thoughts - simple layout, lovely studio, and easy to play once you get used to the bets.
