Magic Powers Megaways Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The most well-known enchanted forest-themed game I can recall is probably IGT’s title, Pixies of the Forest, which first appeared as a land-based slot before making its way online. That was an interesting game in several ways, not least because it boasted an enormous 99 paylines. Still, 99 lines sounds rather quaint next to 117,649 Megaways, doesn’t it?! Pixies of the Forest looked great too, but its top jackpot of just 2,000x the total bet doesn’t really hold up in an age where you have Nolimit City producing games capable of awarding 300,000x the total bet! The 25,440x offered by Magic Powers is much more enticing, and this game also looks every bit as good as Pixies of the Forest as well.
The paytable of Magic Powers Megaways is sensibly laid out, which isn’t always the case with some of Red Tiger’s other releases. There isn’t too much to get excited about regarding the numbers, however – like many other Megaways games, this one relies on scoring wins on large numbers of payways simultaneously rather than just one single big hit. The fire symbol is the most valuable of the bunch, paying 2.5x the total bet for a full payway of six of a kind, whilst the book symbol will get you 1.8x your stake for all six symbols. The circular water container is worth 1.5x for a complete payway, whilst the final high-paying symbol is a green gem with a payout of 1.2x for all six symbols. As for the lowing paying royals, the returns for those range between 0.4x the bet for six tens up to 1x for six aces.
You never know what you will get as far as the betting range is concerned with Red Tiger’s online slots! Magic Powers has a minimum bet of just €0.10, which is perfect for those with small bankrolls, but the maximum limit of only €4.00 per spin could put off some players who enjoy making more substantial bets.
Base Game & Modifiers
The playfield setup used in Magic Powers features six reels, each of which can divide into between two and seven rows on each game round. There’s no additional horizontal reel used in this game, but that’s no huge loss, in my view! You’ll need at least three matching symbols starting from the leftmost reel to score yourself a win, with the largest payouts obviously reserved for larger combinations of six of a kind.
Enchanted Reels
The four middle reels can become enchanted by any of the four elemental forces – fire, air, earth, and water. This enchantment can sometimes lock for three consecutive spins, indicated at the bottom of each enchanted reel.
If a high-paying symbol of matching type happens to land on an enchanted reel, that symbol will be transformed into a wild. Up to three reels can be enchanted during the base game, whilst all four may become enchanted during the magic free spins feature.
Super Wilds
On any spin, a super wild may appear on any of the four centre reels. These super wilds are full-height stacks and also come with a multiplier of between 2x and 7x. If a super wild lands on an enchanted reel, the possible multiplier increases to between 8x and 20x.
Magic Powers Megaways Slot Bonus Features
The main ‘Magic Spins’ bonus round is triggered whenever three or more scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels during the base game. A minimum three-scatter trigger will award nine free spins, with three extra spins being granted for each additional scatter up to a maximum of 18.
Free Spins
At the start of the Magic Spins feature, any enchanted reels will be transferred into the bonus round. Likewise, if the free spins feature concludes with any enchanted reels in view, those will be transferred back into the base game for you as well.
During the Magic Spins, at least one reel is guaranteed to become enchanted on every spin, and it’s now possible for all four centre reels to become enchanted at the same time. Furthermore, all four reels can potentially become enchanted by the same element, which produces the highest-possible winning opportunities.
A win multiplier is applied to all wins occurring during Magic Spins, increasing by 1x every time a win is achieved up to a maximum of 20x.
