As is to be expected from a game with this one’s title, everything in it surrounds the wizard Merlin and his magical prowess. Multiple games feature wizards and alchemy and magic, so it isn’t difficult to find something similar to Merlin’s Millions. You could try spinning the reels of Crazy Wizard from IGT for something slightly similar but also highly alternative. NextGen Gaming has formed quite the intriguing release with the Merlin’s Millions video slot, with Merlin stood to the left of the reels to watch over your gameplay. He seems to be wandering through a magical forest of sorts, and while the graphics are certainly of their time, the soundtrack is difficult to listen to. It’s quite tinny and doesn’t really fit in with the base theme of the game, although this could be due to Merlin’s Millions being released in 2012.
The symbols upon the reels, on the other hand, have everything to do with the base game. The first, and lowest paying additions to the game’s reels, are of playing card symbols, which have all been adorned with glowing surrounds and watching eyeballs. These run from 9 through to 10, J, Q, K and A. Next in line is a stoppered bottle holding some purple liquid and an eyeball. There is also a symbol of Merlin’s magical staff on the reels. Yet the most premium of the symbols comes in the shape of the spell book, which has the possibility of paying out up to 1,000x your bet.
Merlin himself is the slot’s wild inclusion, and he can appear on the central three reels of the game only. He will always show up in stacks though, thereby heightening your opportunities for forming wins. If he does appear, then he will substitute for all other symbols on the reels, except for the scatter inclusions.
It is very important to make sure your are betting the correct amount for your bankroll too, and this is something that you need to work out. All wins occur on these lines, paying from the leftmost reel on to the right, apart from in the case of scatters. You need at least three of the same symbols on a payline to form a win.
Scatter Symbols & Owl Feature
Two scatter symbols are active on the game’s five reels, starting with the orb. This one can show up on the central three reels only, and if you manage to bring three into view anywhere on those reels, you will receive a double multiplier to your stake.
The owl is the other scatter, and this one can only show up on reels one, three and five. When three of these come into view in any position on those reels, you will activate the Owl Feature. Super Bet
You can use the Super Bet button found in the game to add extra on top of your standard wager. Additional paylines are brought into effect through the use of such, too, with up to 300 of these able to be added on top of the basic 50. The wild symbols also have increasing multipliers, depending upon the additional wager and paylines brought into effect, with wins featuring the wild able to be multiplied by up to 10x.
