The collection of Dream Drop slots from Relax is getting truly impressive nowadays – we have a whole section of them, and it isn’t small either! From Beellionaires to Tsai Shen 10K Ways and Dueling Jokers to Money Train Origins, all the developer’s best games on Relax’s platform look to be getting the Dream Drop treatment nowadays. On the one hand, that’s a great thing – who doesn’t like the possibility of winning a life-changing amount of money from a single slot spin? But, unfortunately, there’s a flip side to this, too – you’re losing at least 2% of your RTP towards seeding those five jackpots every time you hit spin, which isn’t to everybody’s taste. Hopefully, the developer will opt to keep the originals available for the foreseeable future as well – the best of both worlds, as it were.
Now let’s talk about the payouts – there are only six symbols on the paytable, a surprisingly small number, even for a grid slot with a 6×6 playfield. The silver square diamond is the most valuable of the bunch – you’ll need five of them to form a winning cluster, which means €2.00, whilst the red octagons are worth €1.00, and the yellow rectangles will get you €0.70. After that, we’re onto the low pays, I’m afraid – the purple quadrilaterals will get you just €0.50, but even that seems like a fortune next to the €0.20 for the green triangles or €0.10 for the blue diamonds. So you had better hope that you can accumulate a good few of them alongside some of those multiplier money bags if you want to win big from this game! Fortunately, they do come along somewhat frequently, but I still found myself down significantly after a half-hour session of play.
In fun mode, the minimum/maximum betting limits are set at €0.20 and €30.00, respectively, and I expect those will probably remain the same when playing in real money too. If you are a high roller, be aware that the gaps between wagers get very large towards the top end of the scale – low rollers won’t experience any such issues, however.
Base Game & Modifiers
I’m a major lover of grid slots, and the way that Midnight Marauder works is amongst the best that I have come across. There are no paylines or payways, of course – you just have the six unique symbols, a 6×6 grid for 36 unique symbol positions, and any cluster of five or more symbols lined up horizontally or vertically will score you a win. When that occurs, the symbols will merge into one of the symbols as a multiplier money bag, allowing new symbols to fall in from the top of the screen. This, in turn, can create new winning combinations – if it does, you only need two sets of five symbols for a 25x win, which isn’t half bad at all!

Free spins are triggered by landing three or more bonus symbols in the same game round. Three of these bonus scatters will get you eight free spins, and any extras you are lucky enough to accumulate will each add two additional free spins.

Unfortunately, there’s no real benefit to the free spins mode of Midnight Marauder – this is a tad disappointing, but the base game is so good that it didn’t bother me like it often would in other slots. However, you can at least win additional free spins by hitting extra bonus symbols whilst the feature is active – one spin per bonus symbol.

There are five Dream Drop prizes to, well, dream about! And this feature can trigger randomly on any spin. The seed values (minimum win) for each of these are as follows:

Okay, I know you’re probably not dreaming about winning one Euro, but don’t worry – these are only seed values!
