Mine Island (SmartSoft) Slot Demo & Review

‘How in the almighty’ are the words I used to satisfy myself when trying to figure out how a Kangaroo had managed to get himself stranded in a tropical paradise surrounded by mines in Smartsoft Gaming’s Mine Island. I’m pretty sure they can’t swim, and even though I know they have quite the ‘hop’, there’s no way he’s making the leap to the mainland depicted in the background of the developer’s non-traditional casino game. Not in one go, at least, but there are several floating platforms that each get him one jump closer to home and you one step closer to a 100x the stake maximum win.

Mine Island is another well-produced, fast-paced, yet simple game from Smartsoft that will have you questioning your lack of courage in one round but sheer greediness in another. See, each successful jump increases your win multiplier, but one wrong fling will take it all away from you. So what would you do if you’ve currently won 50x your stake and can collect that right now, or go for that final leap that could return 100x? You’ll question your decision either way; I can promise you that.

If Mine Island sounds like a game you’d like to hop into but don’t want to make the jump over to an online casino, simply leap into the Mine Island demo below.

Mine Island

If our Mine Island demo delivered the sort of hassle-free gaming action you’ve been yearning for, you’d be happy to know we have demos of plenty of other Smartsoft Gaming crash/instant win-style games you can test out. FootballX is a great example has the same 100x the stake maximum win as Mine Island, but this time, you’re tasked with cashing out before a footballer loses the ball he is juggling. Other high-quality and popular games from the provider in this niche include Balloon and JetX, which comes with a huge 25,000x maximum win.

On Mine Island, there are no reels, symbols, or winning combinations. Instead, you win an increased multiplier of your stake for each successful jump. There are ten islands to leap across, and each consecutive successful attempt will increase that multiplier through 1.1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, and 100x. There is somewhat of a safety net that you can reach, however, which comes after the fourth successful jump. From that moment onwards, you can cash in half your winnings and gamble the rest.

Stakes supported on Mine Island range from a low-roller friendly €0.05 to a whopping €500.00 per game. So, if you’re entering this game to play for real money just to see what it’s all about, it doesn’t have to cost you a king’s ransom to do so.

How to Play Mine Island

Playing Mine Island requires no real gambling experience. You set your ideal stake and press the jump button, and after each successful jump (some will fail on the first try), you must make the painstaking decision of collecting your winnings or risking them again.

Once you’ve reached the fourth platform offering a 2x win multiplier, from here onwards, you have another option to consider. You can now collect all your winnings, gamble them again, or collect half and wager the rest. That does at least allow for some added strategy further down the line.

If you do have a strategy in mind and would rather let the game run automatically, you can use the autoplay feature. It allows you to set up automatic rounds with auto-collect and win/loss limits.

Pros

  • It is a nicely presented crash game.
  • It feels as though you have more control over the strategy.

Cons

  • Low maximum win of 100x.

Mine Island Review Final Thoughts

Of the Smartsoft Gaming releases I’ve played, Mine Island provided the most entertainment in terms of gameplay. Sure, the maximum win isn't that great, but I did like that you have more control over the action. You’re not going to get punished for forgetting to cash out in time, like in other titles, as the game stops at each increment so that you can make your decision. Having the option to collect half your winnings (once unlocked) also adds to the strategy of each round.
