Game Overview
I know most of my online casino game reviews are on video slots, mainly because slots are usually my go-to vertical if I’m playing at an online casino. However, my game of choice is roulette whenever I visit a land-based premises. I just think an actual casino experience should not involve sitting on a stool spinning slots when you can soak in the atmosphere found around roulette tables and enjoy the many different bets you can place and the strategies that can be used to make it a fun gambling session, win or lose. I also play roulette occasionally in an online setting, but I can understand that the number of bets to consider can prove daunting for casual players. Fortunately, you can play a toned-down version from Spribe Gaming called Mini Roulette. It has a smaller wheel and fewer betting options, but it is just as fun. It has a 97% RTP and a top single bet payout of 11.64x the stake.
Instead of 36 numbers, a green 0 (and possibly a green 00), and all the different split bets, corner bets, dozens, and all the outside bets (odd/even, black/red, etc.) to consider, Mini Roulette offers a fraction of the betting options. There are just 12 numbers featured on the wheel to bet on, no green sections, and just a handful of different types of bets. The betting interface is easy to understand, too, while also being easy on the eye.
If you’re a roulette fan but want a toned-down version that is quicker to play, then Spribe Gaming’s Mini Roulette could be what you’re looking for. Take the game for a practice run via the Mini Roulette demo below.
Mini Roulette theme, stakes, pays & symbols
Alternatively, if you prefer playing the full version of the game, we’ve reviewed plenty of titles you can enjoy the demos of. We have Live Roulette games from BetGames and SA Gaming, which feature fully-trained live croupiers. These are the best options if you want an experience close to what you’d enjoy at a land-based casino. We also have reviews of RNG-based titles such as 20p Roulette and 10p Roulette from Inspired Gaming and Light & Wonders’ Key Bet Roulette.
On Mini Roulette, you no longer have to be overwhelmed with so many betting options to consider. You can place single number bets on the 12 numbers, split bets, corners, and then, of course, several 50/50-style outside bets such as Red/Black and Odd/Even. All those bets and their payouts as a multiplier of your stake are as follows:
- Single Number: 11.64x
- Split Bets (2 Numbers): 5.82x
- Corner bets (4 Numbers): 2.91x
- Low (1-6) / High (7-12): 1.94x
- Odd/Even: 1.94x
- Black/Red: 1.94x
You can place total wagers between €0.10 and €100.00 on a single coup of Mini Roulette. You can place multiple wagers on the different betting options per round but cannot exceed a total round wager of €100.00.
How to Play Mini Roulette
If you’ve played regular roulette, the gameplay on Mini Roulette is extremely similar. It’s just a miniature version of the classic casino table game.
You select the chip size between €0.01 and €100.00 you want to place and drop it on the bet you want to cover on the betting interface. You can place multiple bets if you want to hedge your bets a bit or stick to one type of bet as you play.
Once ready, you hit the spin button, and the roulette wheel will spin. The ball is added and will spin around the wheel until it stops on a pocket. At that point, all bets are settled, and the game is reset for a new round.
Pros
- A toned-down version of a classic casino table game.
- Less bets to consider and faster gameplay.
Cons
- The 97% RTP is very good but slightly lower than regular roulette.
