Mascot Gaming is one of those slot developers I mistakenly assume have been in the business longer than they actually have. In fact, the software provider only broke onto the scene in 2018, just six years ago at the time of writing. To me, it feels like they’ve been around close to double that amount of time. Either way, they now have a portfolio of over 70 slots, many of which we’ve reviewed here at Demoslot. For me, many of their best releases have come recently, such as Reveal the Kraken, a 5×4 slot with a 4,500x max win, and two bonus games, along with Other notable releases, including Minotaur Wilds and Re-Kill Ultimate.
Returning to Mist, the next port of call is to analyse the paytable to see what kind of payouts we can aim for when spinning. The Pipe-Smoking Man takes pride of place as the top-paying symbol, with a 50x the stake return for a five-symbol combo. Next is the Lady, who will pay 25x, and the Creature follows, delivering wins of up to 10x. Finally, a Treasure Chest and a Compass round off the premiums with max returns of 7.5x and 4.5x, respectively. Mist Slot Base Game
Mascot’s Mist slot is played over a 5×3 reel interface with a total of 10 fixed paylines in play. The slot utilises a pays-both-ways mechanic, meaning you can land winning combinations from left to right and from right to left. You’ll need at least three matching symbols, with the combo moving left or right along a payline starting from the leftmost or rightmost reels first.
Gamble
After any base game wins, you can gamble your winnings in the hope of doubling them. You’re tasked with choosing the highest card; if you win, your winnings are doubled. If you lose, however, you lose everything you won previously.

There is just one feature of real note in Mist, which is the respin bonus. So, let’s look at what this is and what you can expect to see from it once it’s triggered.
Wild Symbol & Respin
You’ll want to see the wild symbol appear on the reels more often than any other. Why? Because It expands to fill its reel, substitutes for all other symbols, triggers a respin, and even unlocks a win multiplier value.
The wild can only land on reels two, three, and four; when it does, it expands and locks in place for a respin of the reels. During this respin, all wins landed have a 3x win multiplier applied. Should another wild land as a result, both symbols lock in place for another respin, and this time the multiplier is 9x. If a wild lands for a third and final time due to this feature, the multiplier is now a whopping 27x

The Expanding Wilds Respins is a potentially lucrative feature that offers the hope of some big payouts in Mascot's Mist, and I enjoyed it as it reminded me in part of a similar bonus on Big Time Gaming's Starquest slot, which I used to play a lot.Yes, this isn't a feature-rich slot game with heaps of bonuses to trigger, but there's enough to keep you entertained, and those respin wilds always manage to suck you in to try and land one more in the hope you'll connect all three, and a hit a massive win.
