Money Cart 4 (Relax Gaming) Slot Demo & Review

They say that only two things are guaranteed in life: death and taxes. While that may be true, another Money Cart title hitting the screens of online casinos following the recent release of the latest Money Train instalment must come a close third. In fairness, you have to give Relax Gaming credit for recognising that UK players were largely unable to experience the full enjoyment of their games due to bonus buy restrictions and creating something for us as a workaround. The brilliant Money Train 4 is, of course, the game that prompted the release of today’s review, titled Money Cart 4; let’s see if they’ve managed to capture the essence of the real deal. It’s a high volatility, six-reel slot with an RTP of 96.00% and a potential maximum win of 15,000x.

Most slot players will be aware of the crazy potential of the Money Train series of games, and its maximum win and fun factor has increased with every iteration. That must make it even more difficult to keep Money Cart players happy, as it has often been seen as a poor man’s version, which is slightly less exciting and lacks the same top-end potential. That theme continues here as the maximum win is a tenth of the game it’s derived from. However, the counterargument is that it’s a lot easier to activate the feature. There are no standard paytable symbols or line pay wins seen in many slots; only bonus and special symbols appear on the reels here, and the aim of the game is simple; land three or more symbols to trigger the Re-Spin Feature.

For those located in jurisdictions where they are restricted by bonus buy rules, this game can be a great alternative. However, due to its nature, there is no base game as such; it’s either a bonus or a dead spin. This can be quite dangerous for a bankroll if you go on a bad streak, so why not test this game out in free play mode before risking your own cash? We have the Money Cart 4 demo slot below, and it’s completely free to play!

If Money Cart 4 sounds like the sort of game you might enjoy, then you should check out the rest of the Money Train franchise to see what you’ve been missing out. I already mentioned Money Train 4, but if you want to binge on the entire series, make sure you have a few spins on Money Train 3, Money Train 2, and the original Money Train, too. In fact, heading over to the Relax Gaming page here on our site is probably the best idea, as you can pick from dozens of games, including all Money Train and Money Cart slot games. Don’t head off just yet, though, as it’s time to dig into the finer details of what Money Cart 4 offers.

There is no paytable as such to discuss on this game, as there are no standard paying symbols. The only symbols that land on the screen are the bonus or special symbols, which have no payout values attached to them unless you land three of them on the same spin to trigger the respin feature, where they will change into a value ranging from 1-10. Essentially, when pressing spin, you’ll either receive a dead spin or a feature activation.

There are plenty of stakes to choose from on Money Cart 4, with 34 in total. These start from a low of €0.10 and rise to a high of €60.00, with many well-placed options in between, so there should be a sweet spot for every player. An important point to note here is that when the feature is triggered, all payout values are displayed in a coin format, with 1 coin only being worth 0.10 of real currency. This can be frustrating until you get used to it, as the total win often feels like it should be a lot bigger than it actually is.

Money Cart 4 uses a 6×4 grid, with an additional four sets of rows, two above and two below the main reels, which are greyed out. These areas can be unlocked by filling rows within the respin feature.

Three or more bonus or special symbols landing anywhere on the grid during any single spin will activate the re-spin feature, awarding three spins. Landing any symbol will reset this spin count back to 3, and 3 spins in a row with no further symbols landing will result in the end of the bonus, where any current winnings will be paid. All bonus and special symbols involved in the trigger will subsequently reveal a value between 1 and 10 and stick in position, with the special symbols also carrying out their respective functions.

Respin Feature

During the feature, If any full line of row positions are filled with symbols, then one of the greyed-out row lines will become unlocked, and symbols will be able to land on it. If there is more than one special symbol on the grid, they will perform their functions in the following order: top row to bottom row, leftmost to rightmost. Both standard bonus and special symbols can land during the re-spins, and they perform the following functions:

  • Bonus Symbol: Reveals a value between 1 and 10Collector: Collects all visible values on the reels and adds them to their own value.
  • Persistent Collector: Collects all visible values on the reels and adds them to their own value for that spin and every subsequent spin. Does not collect its own value.
  • Adjacent Collector: Collects all the values from the 8 adjacent positions to itself.
  • Persistent Adjacent Collector: Collects all the values from the 8 adjacent positions to itself for that spin and every subsequent spin.
  • Payer: Reveals a value and adds it to every other visible symbol on the reels.

  • Adjacent Payer: Reveals a value and adds it to all adjacent symbols.
  • Persistent Adjacent Payer: Reveals a value and adds it to all adjacent symbols for that spin and every subsequent spin.
  • Sniper: Doubles the value of 3 to 8 other symbols. Can act on the same symbol more than once.
  • Persistent Sniper: Doubles the value of 3 to 8 other symbols for that spin and every subsequent spin. Can act on the same symbol more than once.
  • Collector Payer: Selects from 3 to 5 symbols as targets and adds their values to its own before adding its new value to each of those targets.
  • Persistent Collector Payer: Selects from 3 to 5 symbols as targets at the end of every spin and adds their values to its own before adding its new value to each of those targets.
  • Arms Dealer: Converts 1 to 4 symbols into a feature symbol, and after the conversion, the new symbol/s will perform their function/s.
  • Persistent Arms Dealer: Converts 1 symbol into a feature symbol on every spin, and after the conversion, the new symbol will perform its function.
  • Necromancer: Brings between 2 to 7 already used non-persistent special symbols back to life. The same symbol can be targeted more than once.
  • Persistent Necromancer: Brings between 1 to 7 already used non-persistent special symbols back to life at the end of every spin. The same symbol can be targeted more than once.
  • Persistent Shapeshifter: Turns into one of the following special symbols after every spin: Collector, Payer, Sniper, Collector Payer, Arms Dealer, or Unlocker.
  • Unlocker: Unlocks a locked row.
  • Reset Plus: Increases the reset value of spins left by one.

Pros

  • It offers players the chance to experience more bonuses.
  • A huge variety of special symbols.
  • Increased maximum win compared to the last version.

Cons

  • The maximum win is still only a tenth of Money Train 4.
  • The bonus values are only a tenth of what is displayed in the coin value.

Money Cart 4 Slot Review Final Thoughts

As a big fan and frequent player of Money Train 4, I’ve tried to assess this game as an independent title as much as I can because, ultimately, it is a less exciting version with a fraction of the top-end potential. But it has been made for a reason, and I’m glad that Relax Gaming has done so because it gives some players a chance to experience the gameplay they would otherwise miss out on. Compared to Money Cart 3, it's had an uplift in its max win from 10,000x to 15,000x, and there are more special symbols involved, so it’s definitely an upgrade, and I don’t think many people will be upset with hitting the top end if they manage to do so. That is certainly a possibility thanks to the effect of some of the persistent symbols, such as the collector payer and arms dealer. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable game and a viable alternative for those who can’t buy the bonus on Money Train 4.
