It has many of the same thrills that the board game features, and it incorporates them into an enticing online Slingo setting where the potential for big cash wins is possible. Could there be anything better?
So, come with us as we have a look at this game and inform you on everything that it features. Why try it for yourself too in the free play demo of Monopoly Slingo that’s a part our full game analysis. Could you become the proud owner of a property, a row of houses or a hotel? Well, let’s find out.
How To Play Monopoly Slingo
As soon as you load this Slingo game up, you’ll see the classic Monopoly board game covers most of the screen. In the centre of this board is a grid of 5×5 made up of cards. Then, to the left is the pay table for the game. Yet, before you proceed with anything, you need to make sure that you select a bet that works for you. To the very left of the screen is where you can do this, just by clicking on the Stake button. This allows you to choose from a wager between £0.20 and £25 per round.
After this, you can customise the volatility level of Monopoly Slingo as well. This is done by utilising the Choose Profile button at the bottom of the pay table. From there, you can choose from one of the four Monopoly playing pieces – the dog, the car, the ship or the dinosaur (that’s one we’ve never seen before, too!). Depending upon which you select, the maximum prize you can win changes, with up to £100,000 possible from opting for the dinosaur piece. Naturally, the higher you go, the more volatile the game becomes.
So, if you have chosen your stake and volatility level, you can proceed with hitting the Start Rolls button on the right-hand side. You’ll have eight rolls with the dog profile, and seven with all the others. At this point, the cards in the centre of the board will turn over, revealing different properties from the Monopoly board. Additionally, your playing piece will start moving around the board, depending upon the number rolled by the dice. Landing on a property marks off all cards of the same colour on the grid. Meanwhile, a green house will show up on the specific property landed on.
If you turn over all the cards in a row, be that horizontally, vertically or diagonally, that forms a Slingo. You’ll then see the pay-out that comes with the number of Slingos formed on the pay table to the left. Obviously, a Full House allows you to receive the biggest pay-out.
Once the rolls have been completed, you have the option of taking the pay-out for the Slingos created or rolling again up to four times more for specified additional wagers. If at any time during gameplay you roll a double, then you’re automatically awarded a free roll at the end. Additionally, if you collect all properties in a set, then a multiplier is applied to all prizes on the win ladder for you to benefit from.
Monopoly Slingo Additional Symbols
While there aren’t specifically many extra additions in terms of symbols, one or two extra perks can be experienced while moving around the board. These allow you to build up your balance in extra ways.
- Bonus Property – While there are 25 property cards in the centre of the game board, a 26th is dealt out as the Bonus Property. Landing on that specific property will award a bonus instant cash prize to you.
- Joker – There are also Joker symbols that populate differing property spaces. Landing on one of these will randomly select one card from each property set. These are then shuffled before one is selected by you. Your piece is then moved to that specific property on the game board.
Monopoly Slingo Bonus Features
While the base game of Monopoly Slingo is truly entertaining in itself, it’s not the only part of it that appeals. Instead, you’ll find multiple other features have been installed into the game, which are active in the following:
- Pass Go! – If you manage to make it all the way around the board and pass the Go space, then you’ll add cash to the Free Parking square. If you then land on that Free Parking square, you’ll collect all the accumulated cash within.
- Go to Jail – If you land on the Go to Jail square, you’ll instantly be sent to the jail spot. Roll a double to escape or be released on the third failed attempt. Get out of jail free cards will automatically be utilised in this scenario if you have collected such.
- Chance and Community Chest – If your playing piece lands on one of these spaces, a card will be drawn at random, and these have rewards similar to the board game. So, you can be moved to different property spaces, receive instant cash rewards, obtain get out of jail free cards and more.
Monopoly Slingo Tips
We think that the best Monopoly Slingo tips are to really focus on the volatility of the game that you choose to play. This needs to be a decision that you make and base on the size of your bankroll, as the additional spins that you can purchase later on can rise in price very steeply.
Make sure that you also pay attention to the numbers that you need to roll if you do buy any extra spins, the game will tell you those numbers and the possible returns you can expect if you do indeed roll one of them. Be sure to also try the game out fully in our demo play, this will let you understand the game fully in all aspects.
