Fans of Reactoonz and Gigantoonz are likely to get a strong sense of déjà vu when they first try Monster Superlanche, as there are plenty of visual similarities between the games. I’m usually quite fond of Pragmatic Play’s graphics and presentation, but on this occasion, I have to say that Reactoonz looked a lot better. The symbols featured in this game are a lot larger but not particularly detailed, and there isn’t much variety separating the various monsters unless you count the number of eyes, I guess!
There are a lot of numbers on the paytable of this machine, as each of the nine monster symbols has seven different payouts depending on the number of matching symbols. The orange monster is the most valuable, paying up to 150x the bet for a maximum cluster of 20 or more symbols, followed by the red at 100x, the green at 75x, and the yellow at 50x. The lower-paying monsters have payouts ranging between 10x and 25x the current bet whenever 20 or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the reels. There are 30 positions available for symbols to land, meaning that you can win up to three times at the beginning of each paid spin.
The minimum bet allowed has been set at €0.20, whilst those with larger bankrolls will appreciate the option to wager as much as €100.00 per round if they wish. As is often the case with Pragmatic Play, though, there are plenty of options within the bet range to suit all potential players of this slot.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game of Monster Avalanche works a little differently from most other online slots, as it uses several unique mechanics. There are no paylines or payways, and wins are instead awarded for simply landing eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the playfield.
Multiplier Reels
After the results of a game round have been evaluated, all winning symbols will become locked in place, and all non-winning symbols will be removed – the opposite of most rolling reels games! Next, the remaining symbols will fall down to the bottom of the playfield, allowing new symbols to fall in from above.
The tumbling phase ends when there are no new winning combinations to lock in place. Next, if one or more reels are filled entirely with winning symbols, the multiplier displayed above that reel is applied to your total win. If more than one reel is filled by winning symbols, all values will be added together before being applied to the total win.
The possible multipliers that can be applied to each reel are: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x, 75x, 100x.
Ante Bet
If you want to play more bonus rounds and fewer base game spins, an ante bet option is available, offering higher odds of triggering the free spins feature. The paytable does not specify the exact increase in odds; however, it does mention that the RTP drops slightly when this option is enabled.

The main bonus round is triggered by hitting four, five, or six scatter symbols anywhere on the screen, awarding 8, 12, or 20 free spins, respectively.
Free Spins
The free spins part of the game works identically to the base game; however, any multiplier reel values collected at the end of a free spin are also stored in a meter for the duration of the free spins round.

I like the changes that have been made to this game compared to other slots with similar feature sets. The ability to win the value of the fish money symbols from the base game, complete with huge multipliers, makes it much more fun between bonus rounds.
