Monster Truck Madness Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
So we’ve already talked a little about Monster Trucks and the fact that they pretty much don’t exist in any country with a sensible political system. I had a dig around for some more online slots based on Monster Trucks and was surprised to learn that there are several of these games all due for release right about now – well, apart from 2013’s Monster Trucks online slot, which looks suspiciously similar to this game – perhaps Booming Games found this old title and decided to give it a 2022 remaster? Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a demo of the game or even a single casino that accepts UK players that had the game. I can only assume it didn’t take off too much back in the days of the Wild West of online casinos.
I was able to find a picture of the paytable of the older game, however, and was surprised to find it was much more generous than this newer game. Something else bugged me about the Monster Truck Madness video slot, too; your bet size has to be some weirdly random number, there’s not a single round number available, so I set the wager to €1.50 and got my calculator out to discover that the “Majors” listed on the paytable start with the yellow monster truck at 15x your bet for six-of-a-kind, followed by the red truck at 8x, the female driver in purple at 7x, and the male driver in blue at 6x for a full payline of six-of-a-kind. These aren’t great numbers, but the symbols are stacked on the reels, so you can potentially win lots of pay lines at once, and the modifiers can also boost your winnings far beyond the simple paytable numbers.
Back to those stakes – this is a 30-payline game, so having the minimum bet as €0.30 per spin makes perfect sense. Once you get past €1.50 a spin, all the numbers get weird. Want to bet €3.00 per spin? Sorry, go play something else. I mean, you can bet €14.40 a spin if you wish to, or how about €450.00 per spin? Come on, Booming, give us some sensible bet sizes, please. I don’t want to bet €5.40 per spin!
Base Game & Modifiers
The music will have you fully pumped for spinning that 6×4 reel area with its 30 fixed pay lines and wins awarded for hitting at least three matching symbols on a payline from left to right. The base game would probably be pretty dull without those modifiers, so let’s get straight down to business and talk about those:
Random Wilds Modifier
If you see 3-2-1 appear across the reels, the random wilds modifier is about to kick in. A monster truck will ride across the reels leaving between one and 24 wilds behind. This modifier also appears during free spins.
Bursting Wilds Modifier
Sadly, there’s no special introduction when this one kicks in, but you won’t miss it when it occurs – one or more reels will burst vertically, and all symbols on the reel will transform into wilds. Apparently, bursting wilds can also appear as part of the random wilds modifier, although I never saw this during testing.
Minor Elimination Modifier
Nobody likes low-paying symbols, so this one is a doozy – all the lower-paying symbols will vanish from the reels leaving just the four premium symbols, wilds, and bonus symbols. This can increase your chances of hitting a big win or scoring a free spins bonus round.
Monster Truck Madness Slot Free Spins Feature
And finally, we get to the main feature – a free spins bonus round. The triggering scatter is a skull with pistons instead of crossbones, which is pretty cool, so respect to the graphics artist who drew that one! You’ll need three or more scatters to trigger the feature.
The number of free spins you will receive depends on the number of triggering scatter symbols that start the feature – three scatters means the minimum of eight spins, whilst four awards 12, five gives you 16, and all six will reward you with 20 free spins. There are no special features in the bonus round, although the modifiers seem to occur much more often in free spin mode, so your chances of hitting a big win are definitely higher here.
Bonus Buy Feature
For 70 times your current stake, you can buy your way to the free spins, provided this option is available in your country. It’s not available in mine, sadly, but in this game, I’m not sure I would bother anyway. The price is pretty good, though – much cheaper than most other games with bonus buy features, and the RTP does increase significantly if you opt only to use this mode, so all I can say is it’s up to you if you feel this is a good buy.

Monster Truck Madness looks great but doesn’t play so hot – My overall view of this game is “bla”. It’s worth playing a few spins, but I can’t see anyone remembering this game in nine years – just like the original Monster Truck slot I found whilst researching this game.
