Most Ancient-Egyptian-themed slots, and let’s be real, there is a gazillion of them, focus on relics, tombs, and pyramids, but Relax Gaming has gone down a slightly different route for Mummy Multiplier. You have to admire the amount of work put into a sarcophagi; their design and construction often took over two months, but the end product is usually one of beauty. My first impressions were that the quality of the design was not up to par with previous releases, but how a slot looks is not always an indicator of how it plays. There is a cascading reels mechanic in play on Mummy Multiplier, but it works slightly differently than usual. Rather than disappearing, winning symbols merge into one and hold their current payout value for a free re-spin. Those merged symbols lock in place while others spin, and should any symbol from the same group land in a position or cluster of 2+ adjacent to it, they’re collected and added to the merged symbol and its value. The process repeats until merged symbols are improved or new clusters are created.
Furthermore, if two merged symbols of the same symbol group are on the reels at the end of the spin, their multiplier values are multiplied against each other before they’re paid out.

This is not the most imaginative Relax Gaming slot I have played, but the Collect and Multiply mechanic is interesting, and a maximum win of 30,000x is not one to turn your nose up at. Ultimately, Mummy Multiplier will probably serve you well for a session or two before you inevitably move on to a slot that offers more features and better gameplay.
