Mystery Reels Megaways includes the very popular cascading reels, this entertaining feature has been used on several of the Megaways™ slots including the ground breaking Bonanza Megaways™, and Buffalo Rising megaways™.
Every time you hit a winning combination on the reels, the symbols that are involved in that win will be removed from the reels and replaced with new ones. This is know as a reel cascade and several of these can happen per spin if you get lucky with the new symbols that drop down, if your megaways are at a high amount this can lead to some good sized wins.

The mystery symbol can land anywhere in view during your gameplay, and once this symbol appears you will see it begin to clone itself a random amount of times across the reels.
Once the mystery symbol has finished cloning itself it will then turn into one of the symbols from the paytable. This feature is always guaranteed to give you a win, and sometimes you don’t need it to clone itself a large amount of times to give you a decent sized return, our picture is a good example as there are only 4 mystery symbols in total, but they transformed to the plum to give a win multiple ways from reels 1 through to 6.
Mystery Reels Megaways™ Slot Free Spins Feature
To trigger the free spins bonus on Mystery Reels Megaways™ you need 3 of the scatter symbols to land anywhere in view, if this is achieved then you will be awarded 8 free spins. From this point you will be taken to the gamble wheel where you can choose to collect your 8 spins, or risk the gamble and try to land on one of the red sections and win more spins.
If you lose on the first gamble then you are guaranteed 4 free spins to start the feature with, if you gamble and successfully win by landing on a red section you will then be taken to the second gamble wheel, from here you can again choose to collect your 12 or 20 spins, or gamble again and try to land on another red section.

Following on from previous Megaways™ games that feature the cascading reels like Diamond Mine, Mystery Reels Megaways™ requires you to build up you multiplier value by achieving the cascades during the bonus round, for each successful cascade your multiplier will increase in value by x1. As we have seen countless times before in these style of slots, building a high multiplier can lead to some mouth watering wins during the free spins round.
The mystery symbol can also land during the bonus round and behaves in the same way as it does during the base game, the added bonus here is that you could potentially have a very high multiplier value when this symbol lands and starts to clone itself all over the reels.

Mystery Reels Megaways is a decent first attempt from Red Tiger Gaming, and there is definitely some big win potential to be had for players on this slot. Some of the features we have seen before, like the gamble wheel that is a huge part of Extra Chilli Megaways™, but we liked the fact on this slot that you at least get something if you lose the gamble.
Although we have also seen the use of a mystery symbol on countless Blueprint Gaming Megaways™ slots already, we did like the way that Red Tiger have utilised this feature on Mystery Reels Megaways, and this makes for a very exciting free spins bonus when you see it land.
Overall this is an entertaining game to play, and with Red Tiger now getting a taste of the Megaways™ action we are looking forward to what they bring to the table in the future.
