As for Napoleon, he’s had a previous outing in iGaming courtesy of Blueprint Gaming and their Napoleon slot, which is hugely volatile but a fantastic game to play and one I still regularly spin the reels on if I’m having a session on the slots. It’s going to be really interesting to see how Lucksome tackles this sequel, so let’s begin with the pays and see what the Napoleon 2 FatStacks slot can reward you with.
Positioned at the top of the paytable, we have the Ship, which pays 15x bet for a six of a kind win. The Soldier follows next, valued at 10x bet, with the Horse and Cannon taking up the spots for the remaining premium paying symbols with equal payouts of 4x the bet for a winning combo of six. Initial gameplay on the Napoleon 2 FatStacks slot begins on a 6×4 reel set with 4,096 active paylines. The number of ways to win can be increased via FatStacks, which we will learn more about shortly. As for creating a winning combo, you’ll need to match at least three symbols on consecutive reels starting from the leftmost reel first. All wins will activate the cascading reels feature, which removes winning symbols from the reels, replacing them with new ones for additional chances to win.
Fatstacks
If 2 or 3 identical single symbols are on the same reel, they will consolidate into double or triple symbols, and these are known as FatStacks. In essence, this is very similar to a Megaways slot and is just a different way visually of expanding the number of ways to win whilst keeping the same reel matrix of 6×4. It should be noted that bonuses and wild cannot be stacked.
Wild Symbols
There are two Wild Symbols that can appear in the game. The first is the Standard Napoleon Wild, which will substitute for all other regular symbols, and the second is the Golden Napoleon Wild, which has a multiplier attached to it. The value of the multiplier will depend on how many Golden Wilds make up the win, with each one present in the winning combo moving you one position up the multiplier meter at the top of the reels. The Napoleon Golden Wild is particularly valuable in the free spins feature as it triggers the Mega Streak, but more on that soon.
Battle Cry Modifier
Napoleon can randomly appear and trigger one of two modifiers during any base game spin. He can add more bonus symbols to the reels, increasing your chances of triggering the feature, or more wilds will be added to the reels, giving you a better chance of hitting a winning combo.

If you land 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols in the base game, then the bonus round will be triggered, and 10, 12, or 15 free spins will be awarded for you to begin with.
Free Spins Feature
When the free spins feature is active, any Gold Napoleon Wild that is part of a winning combo will trigger the Mega Streak and lock in all of the symbols involved in a win. All other symbols will then be removed from the reels, with new ones dropping down to replace them. If you improve on your current win, the process will continue until you fail to improve it any further. Once again, each Gold Napoleon Wild involved in any wins will move you one position along the multiplier meter. Furthermore, at the end of every Mega Streak spin, the multipliers will upgrade to the next level and increase in value, with the highest possible multiplier reaching a huge 80x. The feature will be re-triggered during the bonus round if four or more scatters land in view.

Napoleon 2 Fatstacks Slot Review Final Thoughts
It really was a tough choice whether to score Napoleon 2 FatStacks higher than the original slot game, as I am still a massive fan of Blueprint's Napoleon. In the end, I felt Lucksome's effort deserved a slightly higher score, as the FatStacks mechanic undoubtedly gives the game a new dimension, and unlike its predecessor, you get the impression that this slot could well pay its max win of 20,000x.Some players may be disappointed that you no longer have the potential to hit a wild line in this sequel, but with a massive 80x multiplier for grabs in the Mega Streak, I think that more than makes for it. Overall, this is a fantastic release from Lucksome, and they have taken what was an outstanding online slot and taken it to the next level.
