Napoleon Megaways (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

I mentioned Blueprint Gaming has a few other Bonaparte Napoleon-themed slots in its portfolio, and from what I recall, each received a good rating here at Demoslot. Napoleon – Rise of an Empire was the first of them, with the 5×3 slot featuring wild multipliers worth up to 16x, battle cry modifiers that add wilds or scatters to the reels, and a free spins bonus that rewards re-spins after winning combinations form. The remastered Napoleon Deluxe, didn’t prove quite as popular but is still worth a look. Blueprint also brought in Lucksome Games for Napoleon 2 FatStacks, which featured identical symbols morphing into double or triple symbols.

Moving on to the latest in the series, the paytable is the next to go under the microscope. Positioned at the top is the Gold Soldier, which returns 20x the stake for a 6-symbol combination. The Ship sails into second place with up to 4x up for grabs, while the Horse, Cannon, Pistols, and Drums return up to 2x, 1x, 0.80x, and 0.80x, respectively. The Ace, King, Queen, and Jack make up the lower values, and all share a 0.40x maximum return. 

There are 15 stakes supported on Napoleon Megaways, the smallest of which is €0.10 and up to €10.00. High rollers might not approve of the upper end of that limit, but everyone else should have no concerns about finding an ideal stake.

The Napoleon Megaways slot features 6 reels and uses the Megaways mechanic. Each reel can hold between 2 and 5 symbols, meaning any spin can have as many as 15,625 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when three or more matching symbols land on consecutive reels starting from the first reel.

Expanding Wilds

The Napoleon Wild symbol can appear in any position on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 and will substitute for all regular symbols when they can create or improve winning combinations. They expand to fill their reels when they contribute to a winning combo. 

Napoleon Megaways isn’t the most feature-packed Megaways slot you’ll come across, but it does have a free spins bonus that triggers whenever three or more scatter bonus symbols land anywhere on the reels.  

Free Spins Feature

How many triggering scatter symbols that land do not affect how many free spins you receive, but they do determine the size of a payout you receive. You’re given 12 free spins and will receive 2x, 20x, 50x, or 100x the stake for 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols.  

During the free spins, each time a Napolean Wild Symbol appears, it upgrades all instances of the lowest value high-paying symbol on the reels into the next ranked high-paying symbol. Therefore, if you land WIlds five times during the feature, the only high-value symbol that can appear will be the top-paying Gold Soldier symbol. 

On top of that, each time 1, 2, 3, or 4 wild symbols land, you receive 1, 3, 5, or 7 additional spins, respectively.
