Game Overview
I’ve reviewed a few online Plinko games now, and while I’ve enjoyed the simple gameplay, I’ve always felt that more could be added to spice up the gameplay a tad. I guess I wasn’t the only one thinking that, as King Midas Games has done precisely that by adding a bingo card mechanic to this classic game that adds another element to the gameplay. Olympus Glory is an instant win game from King Midas Gaming with a 96.61% RTp and a 30x the stake maximum win.
In regular Plinko games, the idea is to drop balls into an upright triangular grid full of pegs with pockets at the bottom. The balls bounce off the pegs before settling in one of the pockets. Each pocket has a multiplier value credited to the player’s balance. The premise is basically the same here, except to mix things up, Olympus Glory has a few pockets with prizes up to 12x the value of the balls and symbols that are crossed off a 3×3 bingo-style card at the bottom. Complete a horizontal line on that card, and players will win instant prizes of up to 30x the cost of the ball and up to 30 free balls.
If you’re after something new to play or want a break from playing slots, I recommend you give this Plinko game a play. You can try it for free via the Olympus Glory demo we’ve provided below.
Theme, stakes, pays & symbols
Aside from being the first Plinko game I’ve played that has strayed away from the original gameplay, Olympus Glory is the first I’ve seen that has a theme. We’re among the Ancient Greek gods for this one, with what looks like Athena sitting next to the bingo card while your balls tumble down above her. Slot fans will know themes like this all too well, with many games, such as those in Playtech’s Age of the Gods series and Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus, making use of them.
In terms of the payouts on Olympus Glory, these come from the pockets where the balls land. There are 19 in total, and of those that are not symbols or dead zones, there are two each of pockets holding 1x, 4x, 8x, and 12x the stake rewards. The dead zones reward nothing, and there are three in total, with one annoyingly being the most central pocket. As for the pockets with the symbols, once these are hit during a round, the same symbol is crossed off the bingo card at the bottom. There are three horizontal rows on that card, and once all three symbols are crossed off, you receive the prize to the right of them. These can be instant prizes up to 30x or up to an additional 30 free balls. The prizes are random, and a new one appears each time a line is completed.
The chip sizes you can use to bet range from €0.20 to €5.00, but as you have to play a minimum of five balls per round, the minimum bet allowed is, therefore, €1.00 (5 x €0.20). As for the maximum stake permitted, that’s 100 balls at the top stake, so €500.00 (100 x 5.00).
How to Play Olympus Glory Plinko
First, it’s important to know that each round requires you to purchase a set of balls, with the minimum being 5 and the maximum 100. Therefore, The poker chip value you select is multiplied by the number of balls to determine your total stake. Once happy, there’s nothing more to do except release your balls into the Plinko board. Additional features on Olympus Glory include a turbo mode that completes rounds quicker and an autoplay function that lets you configure up to an infinite number of rounds at your current stake.
Pros
- An innovative twist on classic Plinko gameplay.
- The bingo card mechanic adds extra winning potential.
Cons
- The central dead zone can lead to some frustrating results.
Olympus Glory Plinko Review Final Thoughts
Olympus Glory injects new life into the familiar ball-bouncing action of Plinko, turning it into a strategic hunt for some bingo lines that could deliver some worthwhile rewards. The addition of a theme is a nice touch, and with Athena cheering you on with every bounce of a ball, Plinko fans will enjoy the gameplay, and I think some of you slots fanatics might also have a good time with Olympus Glory, too.
