Cascading Reels
A regular feature to the Megaways™ series of games is the cascading reels mechanic, and you will find it present within Perfect Potions Megaways. When you form a winning connection of symbols in your gameplay, those symbols that are a part of the win will aptly disappear from the reels. New symbols will then appear to replace the gaps that have been left behind, which will provide you with the opportunity to create more wins. This series of win reactions and cascades will continue until you fail to make a new winning combo.
Potion Modifiers
At the beginning of each spin between 1 – 5 potions will appear over reels 2 – 6. If you form a winning combination and the reels cascade, then the potion will fall down onto the reel at the lowest point possible. You will then need to create more winning combos in that series of spins for the potion to reach the bottom of the reel and land in the cauldron. If this happens then its modifier will become active and applied to the current game. The potions have the following capabilities:
- Blue Potion: When the blue potion makes its way into the cauldron, it will instantly double the size of the reel that it was on. Extra symbols will then appear and give you the chance to make a new win in the subsequent reel cascade that will follow. Along with this, a red potion will be added above that reel to give you the opportunity to hit more modifiers. The extending reel is something that SG Gaming have toyed with in the past, notably on their best Megaways releases to date in my opinion, which are the Classic Beetlejuice Megaways, and the more fearsome Spartacus Megaways™. This latest outing of it though seems to be their idea of its natural progression, and I certainly like the idea of locking reels that can mount up to potentially 100,000s of winning ways.
