Game Overview

I don’t care what anybody says. The current crop of gameshows we have on TV is rubbish compared to the absolute belters we had back in the 80s and 90s. Yes, the prizes might have been a bit naff, but you couldn’t beat a bit of Bully on a Sunday or shouting at the television when The Price is Right was on. Perhaps things are about to improve as Play’n Go looks to have targeted a gameshow-style theme in their Piggy Blitz slot. This 5-reel slot game features 4,096 ways to win, an RTP of 96.25%, and a maximum win of 5,000x bet.

I have a feeling you won’t be at all surprised to learn that a Piggy Bank is central to the features included within this game. These special collection symbols can land on reels 1 and 6 only and will collect all coin symbols that are in view on the reels. Landing a minimum of three scatters will trigger the free spins bonus, where a unique reel set comes into play that only contains coin symbols and the Piggy Banks. Players also get the chance to land fixed jackpot coins where Minor, Major and Mega pots award 100x, 250x, and 1,000x, respectively.

So, come on down; you’re the lucky contestant who’s been selected to take part in our free Piggy Blitz slot demo that’s ready and waiting for you to try below. Don’t worry; there’s no way you can go bust in this gameshow; all of the free credits are on the house.

Piggy Blitz Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Now that there are so many developers in the industry looking for new themes and genres to base their games on, it’s rare to find a slot game these days with a subject matter that hasn’t already been covered. When that theme happens to be a piggy bank, you know for sure there are stacks of other games already on the market. So, far from being unique, Play’n Go’s Piggy Blitz slot faces stiff competition in this niche from the likes of Red Tiger’s Piggy Riches Megaways and Booongo’s Sticky Piggy slot, both of which are interesting titles to look at.

We’ll jump straight in at the pays section, where we discover the Diamond is the highest paying symbol worth 8x the bet for a winning combo of six. The Bell follows paying 5x bet, with the Dice and Poker Chip finalising the premium paying symbols and sharing equal payouts of 3x for a completed line of six. There are five royals in play for the low pays, with the Ace and King both awarding 2x bet and the Queen, Jack and Ten all paying 1x for a six of a kind hit. The game also features a Star Wild symbol on reels 2 through 6 only and will substitute for all standard symbols.

Entering the action can begin from just €0.10 a spin, whilst those who like to bet big can stake up to a whopping €100 a play. There’s lots of choice within this range, too, so if you’re a low, mid or high roller, there will be a bet size to choose that you are comfortable playing at.

Piggy Blitz Slot Base Game

Piggy Blitz Base Game

We have a reel matrix of 6×4 in operation on the Piggy Blitz slot game with a total of 4,096 fixed paylines in play for wins to be formed. Grabbing yourself some of that lovely cash will require at least three symbols (or two in the case of the Diamond) to land on consecutive reels beginning from the leftmost reel first.

Piggy Bank Collection Symbols

The Piggy Bank symbols can only appear on reels 1 and 6. If these land simultaneously as any of the Pig Multiplier Coins, their respective values will be collected and added to your balance. Keep a look out for the Jackpot Coins, where you can win up to 1,000x from a single coin.

Piggy Blitz Slot Bonus Features

Piggy Blitz Free Spins Feature

Bonus scatter symbols can be found on all 6 of the reels, and landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 in view will trigger the Blitz Spins bonus and award 5, 10, 25, and 50 free spins, respectively.

Blitz Spinz

During the Blitz Spinz bonus round, a special set of reels come into play that only contain Cash Coins and Piggy Bank Collectors. Players should note that the feature cannot be re-triggered.

Pros

  • It's one you'll love if you're a big fan of pigs.

Cons

  • The delay and animations occur even if you collect a coin with a value of 0.1x.
  • Other than the collection feature, the game offers little else.

Piggy Blitz Slot Review Final Thoughts

You never really know what you'll get with a Play'n Go game. It's either a cracker or just a generic filler slot that's barely worth the time even loading up. Unfortunately, their Piggy Blitz slot falls into the latter of those two camps, and this is a complete non-starter for me. One to avoid folks.
