Pimped Demo Slot (Play'n Go) Slot Demo & Review

Pimped was one of the first Play’N’Go slots I ever played, and it piqued my interest in the developer enough for me to take a look at some of their other games straight afterwards. This is a ten-line game with a theoretical maximum win of 10,000x your stake, though I have never seen any evidence of this being hit by anyone despite the game having been out for several years now. As with many other Play’N’Go slots, pay very close attention to the RTP listed in the information pages whenever you play Pimped video slot at a new casino – the RTP is selectable by the casino owner, and can be as high as 96.52% or as low as 84.51%. That is a huge range and will make a huge difference to how long your bankroll lasts. Be sure to check!

There aren’t too many features to speak of in Pimped video slot – so much so that the entire paytable and information section only spans three pages, even on mobile! This was one of the first games I had played which featured “Win Spins”, however, which I thought was a real neat concept – every free spin you play in this game will award you a win. It might be a small win, but it’s a win nonetheless!

If you’ve never played this game before, I absolutely recommend giving this one a try right now using our free demo slot of Pimped on this page. Come back and check the rest of the review afterwards if you do though as I’m going to reveal the meaning of life in a later paragraph. Probably.

Pimped Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols

Pimped Slot Paytable

What do you call the theme in a game like this? A cartoonish take on the oldest profession in the world? Microgaming’s Playboy without the stripping ladies? You know what, I’m not touching this one with a ten-foot pole. It’s called “Pimped”. It features Pimps, and girls in bikinis. Insert your preferred descriptive word here! As for the graphics, well, I’m sure there is somebody in New York who has that sofa in their ”pimp” apartment, and if that is the case, I’m sure girls similar to the ones featured on the symbols once sat on it. Pretty authentic then! The sound stays quiet until you begin to spin the reels, at which point the volume on the music is increased. The loop is a little on the short sound and does become repetitive, though it is broken up by enough sound effects that I didn’t end up reaching for the mute button.

These days, Play’N’Go organize their paytables in terms of xStake, but sadly this was not the case back when their Pimped slot game was released. Instead, wins are shown in coins, so I will do you the favour of working out the math. Five wilds on a payline pays the most of all the symbols, at 100x for five-of-a-kind. Next in the hierarchy is the pimp symbols, which pays 75x your stake for five on a payline. After this you have the gangster at 50x, the babes at 40x, and then the gold watch and stacks of cash which both pay out 25x your bet. Here’s the thing though – if the maximum you can win from one payline is 100x your stake, then doesn’t that mean that the maximum you can win for a full screen is 1,000x your stake? I must be missing something, because the paytable clearly states the maximum you can win is 500,000 coins, but the maximum you can bet is only 50 coins. I think an error has been made here, and perhaps the 500,000 refers to the maximum amount you can win in cash terms… it would be good to get some clarification from Play’N’Go on this.

Just to expand on what I was saying a moment ago regarding the betting ranges, the lowest bet you can place is €0.01 – that’s one pay line, one cent, and a coin value of a penny. You can increase this to €2.00 coin sizes, five coins per line, and a maximum of ten paylines, for a top bet of €100.00 per spin.

Base Game & Modifiers

Play With 5 Reels, 10 Paylines, And Win Up To 10,000x Your Stake In Play'n Go's Pimped Online Slot

The base game in Pimped is as straightforward as they come – a five-by-three play area with ten paylines in standard positions spread across the reels. The wilds are stacked on all reels, which is nice to see and adds nicely to the win potential during the base game. Apart from this though, there is very little to break up the action.

The fast play button has been removed from many casinos because of UKGC restriction being imposed unilaterally, even on players who are not located within the United Kingdom. Can I just say now that I apologise profusely to every online gambler who has had this and other features taken away from them because of our regulators insistence that all players must be treated the same regardless of where they are from. This was intended to protect players in markets such as India, but has instead ended up negatively impacting on players from countries with their own regulators who should be the ones to decide on things like this.

Pimped Slot Free Spins Feature

The Free Spins Feature Will Be Triggered On Pimped Video Slot When 3 Or More Of The Scatter Symbols Land In View

You’ll need at least three of the large dollar symbols to trigger the free spins feature, which begins with five “win spins” on your counter. You don’t receive any additional free spins no matter how many scatters you hit unfortunately, and this is made even more frustrating because of the lack of any payout for the scatters themselves. Still, the bonus round is at least a good one, so let’s get back to having fun and talk about that!

“win” Spins Feature

During the free spins bonus in Pimped, you are guaranteed a win on every single spin! This is really cool, and I don’t remember ever seeing it before I played this game. Since then, Play’N’Go have used it many more times and some other developers have even borrowed the concept as well.

Any scatters appearing on the reels during free spins add one additional free spin to your remaining total – unlike the triggering scatters, it really does matter how many dollar signs appear during the free spins. Hit all five at once and you will given an extra five free spins, for example.

Bonus rounds tend to go on for quite a while, as hitting one dollar sign happens very frequently. I would guess that this is the reason for Play’N’Go imposing a maximum cap on the number of win spins that can be awarded at 20 free spins. This feels a little low to me – some games give you this many (or more!) free spins to start with!

Still, the retriggers do come frequently, and if you play this game for any length of time you will definitely find yourself running up against the 20 free spin cap on a regular basis.

Pimped Slot Review Final Thoughts

This is my kind of low variance game – and, as far as I am concerned, it IS a low variance game – because the advertised maximum win of 10,000x your stake just does not seem mathematically possible given the numbers stated on the paytable. If you have spotted the thing that I am missing here, please do let me know by checking out my bio page and dropping me an e-mail. I hate to give misinformation in my reviews but feel confident that nobody is going to be getting in touch – it’s Play’N’Go who have made a mistake with their paytable on this occasion.

What they didn’t make a mistake with was Pimped – this is a great fun slot whether you like to bet small stakes or like dropping occasional larger bets on a game that won’t rob you too quickly. Just be absolutely certain that you are playing at a casino which has the game set to its maximum possible RTP of 96.52%, are you will have a great time playing Pimped.
