Pine Of Plinko (Print Studios) Slot Demo & Review

The last Print Studios game we reviewed here at Demoslot was a tad unusual, as the developer had tried their best to integrate several video game elements into the slot. This time around, it’s something a little more simple, and it goes by the name of Pine of Plinko Dream Drop. Let’s start with the vital statistics, then. The game uses ten fixed paylines and has an RTP of 93.48% in regular play, increasing to 93.79% if the scatter boost feature is used – sadly, neither figure is particularly generous. The maximum win is slightly better at 10,000x your bet, so at least that’s something.

It turns out that there is a reason why the stated RTP of this game is so low – Print Studios has used Relax Gaming to distribute this slot, and they have been kind enough to connect this machine to their Dream Drop Jackpot system. This means that there is a progressive jackpot contribution on top of the stated RTP. The main bonus round is a “Plinko” style game – this looks a lot like what I know as Pachinko, but if neither of those terms means anything to you, then it’s the classic amusement arcade game where you drop a ball into a den of pegs to see which basket you happen to land in at the bottom. Finally, the scatter boost feature will increase your odds of hitting a bonus round at the cost of 75% extra on top of the regular price per spin.

I was never any good at the “Plinko” games when I visited my local arcade, but if you fancy yourself as something of a legend in this arena, then why not test your skills on our free demo slot of Pine of Plinko Dream Drop? Oh, and good luck!

The bonus game featured in Pine of Plinko has been seen before in the online casino industry, and not just in slots. The incredibly popular Crazy Time live casino game features a similar game, as does a previous Four Leaf Gaming machine called Duelling Jokers. Plinko – or Pachinko – isn’t really a thing in my country, but it’s a literal sensation in many other parts of the world, particularly in Asian countries such as Japan. It’s nice to see the game getting a bit of exposure here in the West, but it remains to be seen whether players will take to this machine in the same way our Eastern counterparts have.

If you do want to interest slot players in your game, then including a few enormous hits on your paytable is usually a pretty good way to start! Four high paying symbols are included in Pine of Plinko, each represented by a different character symbol. Piney is the bearded yellow dude with a return of 200x your bet for a full payline of five-of-a-kind, whilst Santa is, well, he doesn’t look like Santa, but he is red and will pay you 50x your bet for all five symbols. Sleepy is the green fella with a return of 20x your bet, whilst Miney is blue and has the lowest return of 10x for a full payline. Err, where are you girls, lads? There are just three lower-paying symbols with payouts of between 2x-3x your bet, but these seem to appear in stacks much more frequently than the character symbols.

You can choose to bet anywhere from €0.20 up to a maximum of €100.00 per spin. As you’ve probably guessed, there is a good selection of bets to play at between these amounts, so players of all sized budgets are well catered for on this game, in my opinion.

Base Game & Modifiers

The reel set used in Pine of Plinko is huge in screen real-estate terms but still only has five reels of three rows each – just like most other online slots. That’s probably a good thing, too, considering that there are just ten paylines available to score a win. There isn’t much more to talk about as far as the base game is concerned – there are no special features or modifiers, but as the line hits are relatively large, this may not be a problem for some players.

Pine Of Plinko Slot Bonus Features

Hitting three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the playfield will trigger the regular Plinko Bonus Feature, whilst the Dream Drop version of the bonus round is triggered by hitting three “DD” symbols anywhere on the playfield. The “DD” symbols appear as a secondary symbol in the bottom corner of the regular symbols, so you may not even notice them before you are whisked away to the jackpot screen!

Plinko Bonus Feature

At the start of the regular Plinko bonus, the game will total up the number of balls you will receive based on the numbers printed below each of the triggering scatter symbols. This means there is some benefit to hitting four or five triggering scatters, as you are likely to start with many more balls than you would from a minimum three-scatter trigger.

Each time you hit the “drop” button, a ball will be dropped onto the pinfield and will make its way towards the 15 prizes at the bottom of the screen. Each prize pocket awards a multiple of the current stake, but the value of each pocket seems to change between bonus rounds, making it difficult to determine how much potential this feature really has.

Dream Drop Jackpot Feature

The Dream Drop edition of the Plinko bonus round works identically to the regular one, except now the pockets at the bottom of the screen contain four jackpot prizes. These are progressive jackpots, so their value will continue to increase until they are won, but the biggest jackpot is likely to be worth several million times your bet.

Pros

  • A fun Plinko bonus game.
  • High max win.
  • Chance to hit a life changing jackpot.

Cons

  • No base game bonuses or modifications.

Pine of Plinko Slot Review Final Thoughts

I’m usually a big fan of ten payline games, but Pine of Plinko didn’t grab me, unfortunately. The bonus rounds are fun, but it isn't easy to get an idea of what the odds of a big win are when the results are determined in such a random way. This game is worth a look, and it may be interesting for some of you; it just wasn’t for me.
