Pirate Multi Coins Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
With the pirate theme back in vogue, I thought I’d share some of my favourite slots featuring these less-than-wholesome terrors of the open seas. Well, I say my faves, but really, it’s slim pickings out there, in my opinion. Not many pirate-themed slot machines have proved overly successful over the years. If I had to pick out a few, Dead Man’s Gold from Elk Studios is a good option mainly because it has expandable reels that can offer up to 262,144 ways to win, whilst a couple of other titles that occasionally feature on my playlist are Iron Dog’s Pirate King Megaways and Blueprint Gaming’s Pirate Frenzy, which has similar game mechanics to the Fishin Frenzy slot games, that are also developer my Blueprint.
With a lack of successful slot games in this genre, Pirate Multi Coins could stake a claim as one of the better pirate slots around, so we’ll see how it shapes up first by looking at the pays section. The Pirate sits at the top of the paytable, holding a max win of 50x the stake for a 12-symbol combination, with his trusty Parrot being the best of the rest with up to 25x available. Land 12 or more of the Compass in any position on the reels, and you’ll receive 15x, while the Ring returns up to 12x. With the premiums all accounted for, it just leaves the lower pays, represented by the Ace King, Queen, Jack, and Ten, which award payouts of 10x, 8x, 5x, 4x, and 2x, respectively, for 12+ symbol combos.

Played on a 6×5 reel matrix, Pirate Multi Coins operates on the scatter pays system. You’re paid for winning combinations no matter where the symbols appear on the reels, just as long as 8 or more matching symbols land in view.
Cascading Reels
Cascading reels usually accommodate the scatter pays mechanics on modern slots, and it’s back again on Pirate Multi Coins. Symbols involved in winning combinations are removed, and new ones join the action from above. A slight difference here is that each cascade also reveals a Coin symbol, and I’ll get into what those do in the next section. The cascades can create additional wins; when that happens, more cascades occur. This process continues until no new wins are formed.
Multi Coins
The coin symbols I mentioned previously can also appear on the reels naturally on any spin, but regardless of how they land, they will all hold multiplier values or multiplier cash values. When five or more are present after a cascade, the Multi Coin Feature will spring into action. It will add between four and eight additional coins before the values of all the multipliers are summed together and multiplied by the number of coins in view. That overall value is then applied to the total win of the spin.
Golden Chests
Even if you’re unable to collect five or more coins to trigger the above Multi Coin feature, it can still trigger randomly. This can happen via the Golden Chest feature, which activates on any spin where at least one coin lands.
Scatter Boost
According to the paytable, using the Scatter Boost Mode when spinning will increase the frequency of triggering the free spins mode by a factor of 2.18. That means for the 25% on top of your bet, you have more than double the chance of activating the bonus.
Pirate Multi Coins Slot Bonus Features
As with most slots, the best winning potential comes when you trigger the main bonus game, and on Pirate Multi Coins, that is a free spins bonus mode. To activate this mode, four scatters will need to land in any position on the reels by the end of a base game spin.

Aside from being free and the Multi Coins Feature triggers more often, there’s nothing extraordinary about the free spins you receive. For many of you, Pirate Multi Stake will provide a welcome break from highly volatile slots featuring confusing features and mechanics, but for how long is the question? It’s worth a try to see if it hits the spot, but in the end, I think this will become another long-forgotten pirate-themed slot.
