The game features 4,096 payways, a 96.71% RTP, and a maximum win of 20,000x the current bet. The machine is also tagged as having a ‘session volatility’ level of ‘very high’, which isn’t surprising given the size of the top jackpot prize.
Every spin comes with a multiplier attached, determined randomly at the start of each game round. You can see the current multiplier by looking at the numbers shown in the tree at the top of the main reel set. If a win is scored on a game round, the current multiplier is increased by 1x. Once the multiplier reaches 5x, it cannot increase any further. Hitting three bonus symbols will activate the game’s main feature. In this three-spin round, the normal reels are replaced with an alternative set featuring only prize multipliers, Angpau symbols, and Golden Angpau symbols.

The help file included with this game instructs us to shake the fortune tree to get pockets full of gold. That seems a tad exaggerated, but 20,000x your bet certainly isn’t anything to sniff at! You may be surprised by just how many tree-based slots already exist; we recently reviewed a Red Tiger machine named Happy Apples, for example, and the tree of life makes frequent appearances in all kinds of games, such as Pragmatic Play’s Clover Gold. However, I don’t seem to get all that lucky on these games, so I was keen to find out if I would fare any better on PG Soft’s machine.
With a total of 4,096 payways, it was no surprise to find out that the numbers on the paytable weren’t immediately impressive. The highest-paying symbol is a bowl full of gold and jewels, but unfortunately, it only has a return of 2.5x the total bet. There’s a stack of oriental bowls with a payout of 2x the bet for a six-of-a-kind combination, whilst a smaller sack of gold will pay you 1.5x your bet for a complete payway. There are three medium pays represented by a Chinese lantern and a couple of tree decorations, all of which have a return of 1x for all six symbols, along with six low-pays that award either 0.5x or 0.6x for a complete payway of six of a kind.
The bet selection setup uses three dropdown selectors, similar to other PG Soft games, which gives you great flexibility when determining your stake. You can choose a bet size, bet level, or change the overall bet amount directly if you wish. These selectors provide minimum/maximum wagers of €0.20 and €100.00, respectively.
Base Game & Modifiers
Prosperity Fortune Tree is a six-reel slot with four rows on each reel. This results in 4,096 unique payways from left to right, meaning that you only need to land matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left to receive a win. The top symbol has a payout for just two symbols, whilst the remainder requires at least three matches to form a winning combination.
Ascending Multiplier
When you first play Prosperity Fortune Tree, the current round multiplier is set to 1x. If you land a win during your first game round, the current multiplier is increased to 2x for the second game round. Likewise, a win in the second round will increase the multiplier to 3x, and any win beyond this will have the maximum multiplier of 5x applied to it. A non-winning spin will return the current round multiplier to 1x.
Prosperity Fortune Tree Slot Bonus Features
Bonus symbols can appear on all six reels, and you will need to hit at least three simultaneously to activate the main bonus round. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any benefit to triggering the feature with more than three symbols.
Bonus Round
This is a three-spin feature, meaning that you are initially awarded three re-spins to score as many symbols as possible. Any symbols that land in this mode will become sticky for the remainder of the bonus round and reset your remaining spin counter back to three. Any spin which does not result in at least one new symbol landing will cause a life to be lost.
At the start of this feature, the bonus symbols are transformed into prize multiplier symbols, and all other symbols on the reels will become either the Angpau or Golden Angpau symbol. The Angpau symbol will add 1x to all other visible symbols, whilst the Golden Angpau symbol will add 1x to all other visible symbols on every remaining spin for the duration of the feature.

If you are familiar with other super-high variance games such as Dead or Alive, you’ll understand what to expect here – most of your features are going to end with very small wins, but occasionally you will get lucky and win several thousand times your stake – perhaps even the top jackpot of 20,000x!
