Rabbit Garden (Pragmatic Play) Slot Demo & Review

Rabbits are considered to be agricultural pests, primarily because they are herbivores. As a result, the animals are constantly in direct competition with livestock for pasture and will often end up eating a whole lot of food that was never intended for them. Not today, however, as the generous rabbits of Pragmatic Play’s Rabbit Garden are here to give something back – hopefully a huge win! How huge? You’ll need 15 or more adjacent matching symbols in a cluster to score the largest prizes, and the maximum jackpot has been capped at 10,000x the total bet. In addition, the RTP has been set at 96.05%, or 96.08%, if the bonus buy facility is employed.

The base game includes the usual tumble feature that you will find in the majority of grid slots, meaning that you can potentially win many times from a single paid spin. There’s also a coin collection feature, with bronze, silver, and gold coins worth anywhere from 1x to 1,000x the total bet. During the free spin mode, the amounts shown on these coins can be multiplied by up to 10x, potentially providing a quick means of collecting the game’s maximum jackpot. Finally, a bonus buy facility allows you to skip the base game and go directly to the bonus round at the cost of 100x the normal price per spin.

Rabbit Garden Slot Paytable

I feel like I’ve said this a few times now, but we’ve had some great rabbit-themed slots recently! A personal favourite of mine has to be the 8-bit style ‘Napoleon vs Rabbits’, but I’m starting to think I’ve probably mentioned that before as well! It seems that the rabbits really are multiplying – before you know it, Pragmatic Play will probably have released another eight rabbit-themed games too! That probably wouldn’t be so bad, though – I tend to enjoy a good grid slot, and Rabbit Garden is a great-looking example that also boasts an attractive maximum win of 10,000x. If you’re hoping for an even bigger prize, you may want to look at Big Time Gaming’s White Rabbit slot, too – that game also boasts an extremely high RTP of almost 98%.

The biggest wins available in Rabbit Garden can only be achieved by hitting a cluster of 15 or more adjacent matching symbols. That sounds fairly difficult, but the grid used in the game does have 49 positions, potentially making it (slightly) easier. The Rabbit is the most valuable symbol – of course! – with a payout of 150x the total bet for a 15-symbol cluster, followed next by the Fox, which has a return of 100x. There’s a single medium pay – a Wheelbarrow – which awards 90x for 15 or more symbols, after which you are immediately on to the royals, which scale from 20x the bet for 15 Jacks up to 80x for 15 Aces. Let’s not forget the scatters, too – hitting all seven of these will award you 100x the total bet in addition to your set of free spins.

The betting range is typical of Pragmatic Play’s usual output, with minimum/maximum wagers of €0.20 and €100.00, respectively. As usual for this developer, you can choose to play any multiple of the minimum bet until you run into the upper limit.

Base Game & Modifiers

Rabbit Garden Slot Base Game

The reel set used in Rabbit Garden looks enormous compared to a typical video slot, but the 7×7 configuration isn’t so unusual compared to the average grid slot. You’ll immediately notice the carrots locked up along the right side of the reels, too – this is where the coin symbols are held, as explained in the ‘coin collection’ section below. All winning combinations require at least five matching symbols in adjacent positions, but there is no benefit to hitting larger clusters beyond the limit of 15 symbols.

Coin Collection

The paytable mentions that 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 coin symbols can be ‘randomly’ added to the base game reels on any spin, but I noticed what seemed to be a definite correlation between the number of wins that I hit on a spin, and the number of coins that were subsequently added during the next round. I don’t think this was my imagination!

Coin symbols can appear in three colours – bronze, silver, or gold – with the gold variety being the most valuable. Each coin symbol can take on a value of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, or 1000x, but you’ll need to hit a winning cluster of another symbol in an adjacent position to actually collect the prize shown on a coin.

Rabbit Garden Slot Bonus Features

Rabbit Garden Slot Free Spins Feature

The main bonus round always starts with five spins on your remaining counter. You’ll need to hit at least four scatter symbols to trigger the bonus; if more than four are present in the triggering combination, an increasingly large cash bonus is paid up to a maximum of 100x the total bet.

Free Spins

In this mode, every spin is guaranteed to have some number of coin symbols added to the reels. The first spin will have four coins; the second will have six; the third will have eight, and so forth, up to 12 coins on the 5th spin.

During free spins, all winning symbols that you hit are collected in a meter as points. Every paying symbol adds one point to the meter, whilst a coin symbol adds three points. Reach the number of coins displayed on the meter, and five free spins will be added to your remaining total. During these spins, the number of coins that appear is guaranteed to be the same as the initial set of five spins.

The amounts shown on the meter increase each time you fill it:

  • 30 points adds a 2x multiplier.
  • 45 points adds a 3x multiplier.
  • 60 points adds a 5x multiplier.
  • 90 points adds a 10x multiplier.

The multiplier does not reset between free spins, but the feature cannot be re-triggered once you reach the final 10x multiplier stage.

Bonus Buy

The free spins feature is definitely the most exciting part of Rabbit Garden, so it’s nice to see that Pragmatic Play has added a bonus buy facility for those players who are lucky enough to be able to use it! The cost of each feature is 100x the normal price per spin, and the number of triggering scatters is determined randomly after each purchase. This theoretically means that you can recover your buy-in immediately if the maximum of seven scatters happens to land.

Pros

  • Monster grid slot with multipliers.
  • High max win for a Pragmatic Play slot with 10,000x up for grabs.

Cons

  • The coin symbol aspect of the game might not be to the taste of all players.

Rabbit Garden Slot Review Final Thoughts

This is one of the better grid slots we’ve seen this year so far, with excellent presentation and a generous and enjoyable bonus round. The top jackpot could be better, but 10,000x isn’t really anything to complain about and shouldn’t stop you from trying another excellent release for Pragmatic Play.
