How To Play Rainbow Riches Slingo

Rainbow Riches Slingo
Rainbow Riches Slingo

The first thing you will need to do before you can start playing the Rainbow Riches Slingo is select your playing stake; this will cost you a minimum of £0.50 and up to a maximum of £200. The initial stake you choose to begin playing with will be instrumental in how things may develop further into the game, which we will come to in due course.

So, the game will begin with your bingo card, which consists of a total of 25 numbers that range from 1 to 75. The stake you choose to play at will give you 10 sets of balls released in groups of 5. These will stop at their corresponding rows along the bottom of your card, and any numbers that match will be covered with a star.

Of course, the more numbers you can cover, the more Slingos (lines) you will achieve, moving you up the line win meter on the left-hand side of your card. As you will see on the meter from 5 lines and up, you can trigger features, which we will look at in the next part of the review, but firstly, we will shed more light on what happens after your 10 rounds if you haven’t made it far enough up the meter to win anything.

After your 10 rounds are completed, you may or may not have reached the number of lines required to win a prize. This is where you will be offered to buy more rounds to try to increase your feature or make it to a level where you can win something.

The amount it will cost you for another round will depend entirely on how many positions you have filled on your card. The game will, however, inform you of this cost before you press spin, and a running total of the amount you have staked so far can be found at the bottom left-hand side of the screen underneath the line meter. It’s worth mentioning that when you’re toward the top end of the line meter, the price to spin again can increase quickly.

It can, of course, be quite a task to keep completing additional slingos to work your way up the win meter, and this is where you can get a helping hand from some extra symbols that can roll in during a round. There is, unfortunately, a symbol that doesn’t assist you in the game, which can also roll in, and all of these are detailed below.

  • Jokers: Allow you to mark off any number within the row that the joker lands.
  • Super jokers: Allow you to mark off any number within the whole grid.
  • Free Spin: Will add one extra spin to your current total.
  • Devil: The devil acts as a blocking symbol, so you will receive one less ball.

There are a total of 7 bonus features that can be triggered on Rainbow Riches Slingo, and these are features that have been included in previous titles of slots within the Rainbow Riches series. Below, we have detailed what each of these features are.

  • Wishing Well Bonus: Pick from one of 3 wishing wells to reveal a multiplier that will be applied to your stake.

Revealing a fairy will cause 3 further values to be uncovered; if you can reveal all of the values with 2 picks remaining, your winnings will be trebled; if you complete it with just 1 pick remaining, your winnings will be doubled.
  • Magic Toadstool Red Bonus: The upgrade will see you start with 4 picks. If you reveal all multipliers with 2 picks remaining, your winnings will be quadrupled, whilst revealing them all with 1 pick remaining will double your total win.
  • Road to Riches Bonus: Spin the wheel to work your way up the road, which contains multipliers; when the wheel lands on collect, your stake will be multiplied by that amount.
  • Road to Riches Red Bonus: The upgrade to this bonus will see the values of the multipliers on the road increase.
  • Pots of Gold Bonus: Gold, Silver, and Bronze pots with multiplier value will spin around. The pot that lands at the feet of the Leprechaun will be the amount that your stake is multiplied by.

Rainbow Riches Slingo Strategy

The best Rainbow Riches Slingo strategy is to play at a stake that enables you to afford at least three extra spins. This will give you a far better chance of reaching one of the higher-paying feature bonuses in the game. We would also suggest that you trigger each of these bonuses in our free play demo of the game so that you can learn what each feature is capable of paying. This will give you a better idea of what bonus feature to collect when comparing how much you have already staked on the game.

Pros

  • A well known theme that has been expertly delivered into Slingo format.
  • Seven bonus round to trigger.

Cons

  • It would have been nice to see a max win of more than 2,000x.

Slingo Rainbow Riches Review Final Thoughts

Slingo Originals has now struck countless deals which have allowed them to develop licensed games, and it makes a huge difference when you're playing on a title where you're already familiar with the theme. We have seen this more recently with Slingo Money Train and Slingo Tetris, but Slingo Rainbow Riches was one of the first Slingo releases that struck a chord with players, and when you trigger all the features and experience them for yourself, you'll know exactly why. This is undoubtedly one of the best releases in the Slingo catalogue and one I'd encourage you to try.
