The reel set looks enormous at first glance, but there’s a good reason for this – it’s a grid slot that awards wins for hitting clusters of five or more adjacent matching symbols. Rave Party Fever has a 96.72% RTP alongside a maximum prize of 5,000x the player’s stake.
This machine is also a little more feature-packed than typical PG Soft games, even boasting a handful of base game modifiers. These mods are all triggered using so-called feature activation spots, of which there are three different varieties. The yellow activation spot triggers the ‘Bass Blast’ modifier, whilst the green activates the ‘Mass Transform’ modifier, and the red is used for the ‘Wild Deejay’ modifier. The main bonus round is also a little unusual for this developer, who typically opts for nothing more than a standard free spins feature. Rave Party Fever instead utilises a symbol collection mechanic whenever winning combinations are removed from the playfield. Your collection progress is indicated by a bar displayed above the reels, which requires 65 symbols to fill completely. Rave Party Fever Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Movies based on the rave scene were big during the 1990s, although they seem to have fallen out of favour in recent years. I wonder if we’ll ever see a sequel to Human Traffic at some point whenever popular culture moves back in that direction. Whilst filmmakers seem to have lost interest in the party scene, the same cannot be said for the developers of online slots. We have Nolimit City’s The Rave slot, Pragmatic Play’s Dance Party is another example, and there’s also their Fruit Party game. Sorry, what’s that? Fruit Party isn’t a real party? Then I must have been going to the wrong fruit parties, Ahem.
Now that you’re completely confused, this seems like a good time to get back to the topic at hand – Rave Party Fever! The disco ball is worth 3,000x the total bet for a maximum cluster of 25 or more adjacent matching symbols, although I’m not too sure how likely it is that such a combination will ever form. The DJ deck is worth 2,000x the bet for 25 or more, whilst the headphones and microphone share payouts of 500x for a maximum cluster. That just leaves the four royal symbols, all of which share equal returns of 100x for a 25+ symbol cluster. This limited symbol set should make it a little easier to hit winning combinations, especially considering that all of them can appear in single and stacked configurations.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a PG Soft title without the developer’s trademark multi-selector bet selection mechanism! Rave Party Fever offers three-coin sizes – €0.02, €0.20, and €2.00. There are also ten bet levels, and together these settings permit any bet between the minimum of €0.20 and a maximum of €200.00 per spin.
Base Game & Modifiers
Grid slots are slightly different from traditional video slots as they do not utilise paylines or payways. Instead, prizes are paid out for hitting a cluster of at least five adjoining symbols, and you can therefore win several times from a single spin. Additionally, winning combinations are immediately removed from the playfield after their prize has been evaluated. When this occurs, the remaining symbols will drop down to fill the resulting gaps, which may create further winning combinations. The whole process can repeat indefinitely and will only stop if there are no more possible winning combinations or the bonus round is achieved.
Feature Activation
During the base game, three feature activation spots are added to the playfield at the start of every round. If a winning combination happens to pass through one or more of these spots, the corresponding modifier will be activated:
- Bass Blast Feature (Yellow Spot) – All low-paying royal symbols will be removed from the playfield.
- Mass Transform Feature (Green Spot) – Ten high-paying symbols will be added to the playfield in random positions currently containing non-winning symbols.
- Wild Deejay Feature (Red Spot) – The most valuable of the three modifiers, this one will add seven wild symbols to the playfield.
Rave Party Fever Slot Bonus Features
Some players might be disappointed to hear that Rave Party Fever lacks a full-on bonus round, but it does at least offer a bonus of sorts. Keep an eye on the progress meter displayed above the playfield – this will fill up with winning symbols as they are removed from the reels. Collecting 65 symbols will trigger the bonus.
Bonus Feature
Getting the required 65 symbols sounds like a big ask, especially as the progress bar will reset back to zero at the start of every spin. It’s not as hard as you might think though, and can soon fill up once you get on a roll! When you manage to fill the meter, all three modifiers described in the previous section will activate simultaneously.
This makes it much easier to fill the meter again; if you should do so, the game will re-trigger the modifiers with a 2x multiplier in play. The multiplier can continue increasing in 1x steps indefinitely until no more winning combinations are available on the screen.

Final Thoughts
I’m a little old for the rave scene nowadays, but I still enjoy seeing the parties in popular culture. Unfortunately, this isn’t a great example of that – it feels a little bit forced, and the symbols and backdrop aren’t especially well drawn. There’s a decent number of features, but none of them is particularly exciting – on the whole, it’s a little better than average – but only just.
