I had to laugh when I saw the title of this slot from Realistic Games – Trigger Happy TV was a comedy show that appeared on British television during the first years of the 21st century and was a favourite of my girlfriend and me at the time. Re-trigger Happy Deluxe Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The theme of Re-Trigger Happy Deluxe looks as if it takes a page or two out of NetEnt’s Dead or Alive cookbook, but there is plenty of new inspiration on display here as well. We have male and female characters on the reels, liquor, a holster, and a pocket watch, whilst the wild symbols look as if NetEnt’s classic franchise at least inspired them. When you factor in the ten-payline design of Re-Trigger Happy Deluxe, it seems as if Realistic Games might have wanted to pick up a bit of the love that slots players have for Dead or Alive and its sequel.
The paytable kicks off with the wanted poster wild, paying a chunky 1,000x your bet for any full pay lines of five-of-a-kind. Both the male and female outlaw characters have returns of 75x your stake for all five, whilst the holster pays 40x, the liquor bottle pays 25x, and the pocket watch is the same at 25x. Many games have a huge drop between the picture symbols and the royals, but that isn’t the case here; the royals range between 10x your bet and 12.5x your bet for a five-of-a-kind hit of any combination.
Realistic Games has added a few more choices to the wager selection screen in Re-Trigger Happy Deluxe compared to previous releases; the numbers still seem more than reasonable. The minimum bet per paid spin is €0.10 whilst the maximum is set at €20.00, which should be enough to cater to most players.
Base Game & Modifiers
Realistic Games appear to like to keep their base games relatively simple, and I don’t have any issues with that. The playfield used here is a standard 5×3 layout, whilst the ten paylines do make winning combinations appear a little less frequently than you might hope, but also allows the developer to set their prizes much higher than they would be able to if the game used 20 or more pay lines instead.
Wild Modifier
Whenever a wild symbol forms part of a winning combination, the prize will be multiplied by 2x. This does not apply to full lines of five wild symbols, however!
Re-trigger Happy Deluxe Slot Free Spins Feature
A single free spins bonus round is included, triggered by hitting three or more scatters during the base game. If you should hit just two scatter symbols, you will still be paid 2x your bet, whilst the free spins begin to be awarded for hitting three or more scatter symbols. A cash prize of 5x your bet is paid for three scatters, increasing to 20x for four, and jumping up to 500x your bet if you are lucky enough to catch all five simultaneously!
You will receive 15 free spins regardless of how many triggering scatters you hit, but you can also win another 15 free spins by hitting another three or more scatters during the bonus round. It would have been nice to see something extra added to this part of the game, but as far as I could tell, it appears largely the same as the base game.
Note that if you should win more than 5,000x your bet at any point during the free spins, your remaining spins will be forfeit, and the feature will end.
