Reactoonz 2 Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
The theme of the Reactoonz 2 game pretty much mirrors what was brought to us in the original Reactoonz game. The Reactoonz themselves, alien creatures that have toon-like features, have been caught on the reels and you need to capture them in clusters. And once again, Play’n Go has incorporated some impressive graphics throughout the slot to bring the theme to life. Clearly, there has been some enhancements in this area since the original game was released in 2017.
The same eight googly-eyed toons are back on the seven reels of Reactoonz 2, bringing you face-to-face with their crazy expressions once more. These characters are split into two categories – those toons with one eye and then those with two eyes. You’ll form wins by matching five or more of the same toon horizontally or vertically, and this then triggers the cascade feature, which we’ll get to soon. Forming a cluster of 15 or more toons will give you the greatest pay-out. The provide rewards of anywhere between 3x and 15x your in-play stake.
Placing a bet on the Reactoonz 2 game is easy to do, with various pre-determined values seen at the bottom of the game screen. There, you can choose from bets between €0.20 and €100 per spin. Reactoonz 2 Modifiers & Features
The base game of Reactoonz 2 features seven reels and they are joined by seven rows. This makes for quite a tall reel setup to play on. You won’t find any specific paylines running through this layout, though. Instead, you simply form your wins by matching the toons in clusters of five or more. This means that they can form anywhere and in both horizontal and vertical directions.
Cascading Reels
Every time that you form winning clusters when playing Reactoonz 2, you’ll trigger the cascade feature. When this hits, you’ll see the winning symbols explode and disappear from the grid, allowing new symbols to fall into their spaces. Of course, this could allow additional wins to form from more cluster being made. Cascades will continue to explode and fill meters up until no further winning clusters can be formed.
Fluctuating Symbols
One additional great part about Reactoonz 2 is the fluctuating symbols. There’s a single one-eyed toon chosen to be this fluctuating symbol on each spin. If one of these fluctuating symbols participates in a winning combination, then an electric wild will be formed in one of the newly vacated spaces. At the same time, the game’s Fluctometer will be filled up some.
Once the Fluctometer fills up, between one and three electric wilds will be added to the grid in random locations. This meter is able to eb recharged more then once, too. However, it’s important to keep in mind that it will be disabled if the Gargantoon is released onto the reels.
Electric Wilds + Quantumeter
The electric wild symbols that can show up in Reactoonz 2 will substitute for any other symbol on the reels. Not only that, but with them being electric, they’ll zap other toons appearing on the reels. Any non-wild symbols that are removed by this one will go on and charge the slot’s Quantumeter. Each of those symbols is worth a single charge, and this meter continues charging after releasing an Energoon. However, it will be disabled once the Gargantoon is released.
There are different levels to the Quantumeter, and you need to collect 55, 85, 110 or 135 charges to reach these different levels. Each one of these also unleashes a different wild onto the reels for you to benefit from. Those levels provide the following:
- Level 1 provides four 1×1 Energoon wilds
- Level 2 provides a single 2×2 Energoon wild
- Level 3 provides a single 3×3 Gargantoon wild
- Level adds a multiplier of 2x for all wins including the Gargantoon wild symbols
Following a 3×3 Gargantoon triggering a cascade, it will break into two 2×2 Gargantoon wilds for the next cascade. After these trigger another cascade, they are replaced by nine 1×1 Gargantoon wilds.
Wild Pair Explosion Feature
The game also has its own explosion feature, which is activated by there being two or more electric wilds on the reels following all other features completing. The wild pair explosion feature sees two adjacent electric wilds explode and remove all other symbols on the grid (with the exception of other wilds). If the electric wilds aren’t adjacent to one another, then the symbols between them, as well as the surrounding ones, are destroyed. Any symbols that are removed during this won’t give you a pay-out, but they will instead charge the Quantumeter for you.
Reactoonz 2 Slot Review Final Thoughts
It’s been three years since the first Reactoonz game was unleashed to the gaming world, but Play’n Go has certainly improved things with this sequel. Of course, if you are a fan of the first slot, then this one will likely appeal to you, too. From the very first spin of the reels, you’ll likely find it to be a compelling game.
We’re always happy with something that’s a little different and being able to form cluster wins in any direction is something that Reactoonz 2 has going for it. While there’s plenty that remains from the original game, the developer has really enhanced this second release in several areas, too. Cascades, Quantumeters and Fluctometers being in-play throughout will always ensure you’re having a good time.
And when you throw the electric wilds (and their explosion feature) into the mix, there’s no reason why this game shouldn’t be fully immersive for you.
