Retro Sweets Slot Base Game
Retro Sweets is a cluster pays slot played over a 6×9 reel configuration, which features the cascading reels mechanic. Payouts are achieved when clusters of 5 or more matching symbols connect vertically or horizontally within the playfield, with those symbols then disappearing, creating space for additional symbols to drop in from above.
Wild Candy Symbols
The Wild Candy Symbol can appear anywhere on the reels and will substitute for non-special symbols when it can create winning combinations. Additionally, it has a multiplier value that increases by 1x after each winning combination it makes, with that multiplier being applied to all winning combinations in which the wild symbol is involved.
Wild Multiplier Symbols
Wild Multiplier symbols can also drop onto the reels and have a random multiplier value of 1x, 2x, 3x, or 5x. That value is applied to all Wild Candy symbols on the reels before the symbol transforms into an Instant Prize symbol.
Instant Prize Symbols
Speaking of Instant Prize Symbols, these hold values that are a multiplier of the current stake. Each symbol can have a value 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, or 1,000x. To win the Instant Prizes, this symbol must land in a cluster of 5 or more Instant Prize symbols.
Instant Prize Multiplier Symbol
When Instant Prize Multiplier symbols land on the reels, they will apply their multiplier of 2x, 5x, or 10x to all instances of Instant Prize Symbols. They then transform into a random Instant Prize Symbol.
Sweet Collector Symbols
You’re guaranteed a cluster win if a Sweet Collector symbol lands anywhere on the reels. The symbol will do one of two things, it could randomly select one type of regular-paying symbol and draw all instances of it towards its position, which will create a cluster win. Alternatively, if there are four or more Instant Prize Symbols on the reels, it can select and draw that symbol towards it. The Sweet Collector can also draw Wild Symbols along with the paying or Instant Win Symbols. Once the Sweet Collector has performed its action, it will transform into a paying symbol or an Instant Prize Symbol.
Cluster Link
Found in Retro Tapes and Giga jar, the Cluster Link feature also returns for Retro Sweets. It can trigger whenever there is a large number of Instant Prize Symbol clusters on the reels. It can link those clusters to deliver mind-blowing payouts.
Push Bet
The Push Bet allows you to play with an increased chance of triggering the free spins feature, with players having the following two options to choose from.
- 1 Guaranteed Scatter Per Spin: 1005 on top of the original cost.
- 2 Guaranteed Scatters Per Spin: 300% on top of the original cost.

All the Wild Candy Symbols and Instant Prize Symbols on the triggering spin will carry over to the free spins bonus. I was really pleased to see Push Gaming continue with their retro theme, as Retro Tapes is one of my favourite online slots to play. However, it did come with a few frustrations, but it would seem Push has ironed those out in Retro Sweets, which in my opinion, is a much better game to play.What makes me think this? Well, it always felt in Retro Tapes that some of the features had very little chance of paying you anything decent, especially if the tapes were far apart, but in Retro Sweets, even if you don't hit a substantial win, it at least feels as though you might.It's quite hard to explain that properly, but if you give the free play demo a try above and buy some bonuses on it, you'll know exactly what I mean.
