I’m not sure if I’m happy when slot developers take me back to my youth or whether it just makes me feel old. As soon as the Robocop Cash Collect slot dropped in my lap and became ready for review, I was instantly taken back to a movie I loved watching when I was younger – although, technically, I probably shouldn’t have been watching an ’18’ (as they’re rated here in the UK) at that age. Quotes such as “Go ahead and do it. Dead or alive, you’re coming with me.” and “Serve the public trust, protect the innocent, uphold the law.” returned to my brain for the first time in many years. If a slot theme is going to give me a biased view from the off, it is this one, and once again, it is Playtech at the helm of Robocop Cash Collect, the developer that brought us the original Robocop slot back in 2017. In the latest title, you can expect 30 paylines over a 5-reel and 3-row setup, a 95.62% RTP, and the excellent Cash Collect mechanic.

Robocop Cash Collect Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
We’ve been blessed with many great branded movie slots over the years, and for the most part, they’ve all been good. Playtech has obviously released the original Robocop, but the famous developer also has titles like its Rocky slot, Superman, and Green Lantern. However, I believe Blueprint Gaming has done a better job overall, and the UK-based slots developer has released excellent movie-themed titles such as The Goonies Megaways and Ted, which I still regularly play.
It’s early days as I’m yet to review the bonus features, but I strongly feel Robocop Cash Collect is another that will take its place on my slot’s playlist. Of course, that feeling could change, so let’s get into what this slot offers – starting with its symbol payouts. Would you have it any other way than Robocop sitting at the top of the paytable? Me neither, though 6x the stake for a five-symbol combination is not as attractive as I’d hope. I guess lower symbol payouts are there to offset the rewards you can get from the Cash Collect feature. Lewis, Robocop’s/Murphy’s loyal partner, is next with a five-in-a-row payout of 4x, while OCP owner and main villain, Dick Jones, returns 3x, and the rival ED-209 Cop Robot pays up to 2.5x. The final two premiums are the Police Car and Robocop’s Cool-Looking Gun, which pay a maximum of 2.5x and 1.5x, respectively. Finally, the royal symbols complete the pays section, with the Ace, King, and Queen sharing reruns of 1.5x for a winning combo of five.
Another positive about this slot is that there are 25 staking options ranging from a minimum of €0.10 to a maximum of €500.00 per spin – which should prove to be more than enough choice for all real money players that enter the game.

The Robocop Cash Collect features arguably the most used reel format around, 5 reels and 3 rows, and on this occasion, you have 30 paylines to set your sights on. To scoop some regular wins from the reels, you’ll have to land three or more matching symbols across one of those paylines, starting from reel one and moving right. However, you’re not as reliant on winning combos as on other slots as the Cash Collect feature, used on other Playtech slots such as Breaking Bad Cash Collect & Link, returns for this sequel.
Cash Collect
The Cash Collect feature allows you to collect instant cash prizes, one of four fixed jackpots, or trigger the free spins bonus game. Each time the Cash Collect lands on the fifth reel during the base game, at the same time as one or more of the following symbols anywhere in view, you’ll receive a cash payout, jackpot or some free spins.

On Reel Feature
Another randomly triggered feature is the On Reel Feature, which starts with a memory-inducing cutscene of the legendary Robocop movie. The feature will deliver a random number of coins, free spins coins, instant cash prizes, stacks of wild symbols, or the Cash Collect symbols.
Robocop Cash Collect Slot Bonus Features
The main priority when playing the Robocop Cash Collect slot, aside from clearing the streets of villains and taking down the evil Omni Consumer Products corporation – (you’ll have to watch the movie if I’ve lost you), is to trigger the free spins bonus, which as mentioned, is done via the aforementioned Cash Collect feature.
Free Spins Feature
You will receive the combined number of free spins displayed on the triggering free spins symbols (+3, +4, +5, +7, or +10) as long as they land on the same spin as the Cash Collect symbol. On each spin, the original Cash Collect and any new instances which can now land on any reel will move one position down on their reels and will continue to collect prizes until they fall off the grid. If a new coin, called the Reset, lands, it pushes every instance of the Cash Collect back to their highest reel positions – essentially keeping them in play for longer.

I know I’m probably letting my memories of this movie cloud my judgment a bit, but I had a blast playing Robocop Cash Collect. From its highly impressive presentation to the modifiers and Cash Collect feature, I did enjoy every spin.Granted, the Cash Collect mechanism is a little dated now, and I can certainly see how this slot won't be for everyone, with some of you, possibly even questioning my score, but opinions on slots are subjective, and I'm not budging on this one.
