There are a couple of points that are worth mentioning in the base game on Runner Runner Megaways™ and we will start firstly with the super stake option.
- Super Stake – The super stake option is located in the bottom right hand corner of the game screen. If you choose to enable this feature then it will double your current playing stake, but it will bring with it some benefits. A Bar symbol will be added to the reels and this will act as a wild symbol substituting for everything expect the scatter. There is also a random feature that can trigger, this will result in higher chances of bigger wins.
- Hold Buttons – Very rarely will you see any hold buttons on an online slot, but Runner Runner Megaways™ sticks to that retro theme and has a hold for each reel. Runner Runner Megaways™ Cascading Reels
Although Runner Runner Megaways™ doesn’t feature an escalating upper reel like most Megaways™ slots that have 117,649 paylines, it does still include the cascading reels mechanic. This is one of the most used and popular in-game features when it comes to the Megaways™ series of games.
Any wins that are achieved during gameplay will see symbols of winning combinations explode and be eliminated from the reels. This will leave behind spaces which are filled when new symbols fall in, or cascade from above. It’s possible for several cascades to take place which can potentially build up a nice series of wins, with this feature only ending when there are no further winning connections to be made on the reels.
Runner Runner Megaways™ Free Spin Feature
The free spin bonus round on Runner Runner Megaways™ is triggered when 4 or more scatter symbols land anywhere in view. Hitting a 4 scatter trigger will award you with 8 free spins, with each subsequent scatter symbol after that adding an extra 5 spins.
When the free spins get under way you will be awarded with a win multiplier that will begin with a value of x1. Each successful cascade of the reels that you complete will increase the value of your multiplier by a further x1.
