When I received the request to review Fantasma Games’ Shadow Summoner Egypt, I initially thought I’d reviewed it before, and quite recently. However, I quickly discovered this is a sequel to a game I critiqued a few months ago, titled Shadow Summoner Elementals, which launched in March 2024. More of the same is on the horizon, it would seem, as on initial viewing, we have a progression/cycle-type system that allows you to unlock bigger and better features as you spin along. As for the absolute basics to get you started, Shadow Summoner Egypt is a 6×5 slot with a scatter pays mechanic, a 96.23% RTP, and a 5,135x the stake maximum win.
Your session on Shadow Summoner Egypt will start with a choice of three starting Elementals to unlock, which each have a different modifier they’ll trigger when their respective symbols land. As you play, winning symbols fill up a meter that, once full, activates another of the elemental features. Bankroll and luck permitting, you’ll eventually unlock all three of those elementals and a fourth that isn’t an initial option. Then, and only then, is it possible to trigger the games two bonus games. As you’d expect, there are similarities between Shadow Summoner Egypt and the original Shadow Summoner Elementals, mainly with respect to the Elementals meter and the four modifiers you can unlock as you go along. The multipliers of up to 100x are also featured on that slot, and the reel configuration is identical between the two. The main difference here is that there are two bonus games rather than just one.
On the topic of payouts, these are similar too. The Snake has a 20x the stake return as its best payout in return for 12+ symbols, the Cat delivers up to 12x, the Crocodile maxes out at 10x, and the Dog can pay up to 7.5x. The Ace, King, Queen, and Jack are responsible for the lower pays and return up to 6x, 5x, 4x, and 3x, respectively. Wild symbols, which can only be created via the Tome of Blood Elemental feature, substitute for each of the above symbols whenever winning combinations are possible.
Betting options on Shadow Summoner start with a minimum bet of €0.10 and up to a maximum of €1,000.00, though I doubt you’ll find that higher limit implemented for this slot at online casinos.
Base Game & Modifiers
Regarding the reel format used on Shadow Summoner Egypt, you’ll find five reels and six rows, while a scatter pays mechanic determines wins. To receive a payout, you’ll need spins to reveal 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the gaming grid. All symbols in winning combinations pay out and disappear, and more topple in creating additional winning opportunities.
Elementals Meter & Features
You can unlock four elemental features when playing Shadow Summoner Egypt, and at the start of your session, you can pick one of three to unlock immediately. You’ll unlock the other three one by one via the Elementals Meter to the left of the reels. The meter for each Elemental fills by 1 point for each winning symbol landed as you spin, and you’ll need 200 points to unlock each Elemental.
The three Elemental features you must choose from at the start of your session, and which you unlock as part of the progression system in play on this slot, are:
- Tome of Locusts: When the Tome of Locusts symbol appears on the reels, it explodes to clear a 3×3 area around it of symbols before randomly selecting another to fill all the empty positions. Once it has triggered, there is a chance the Tome of Locusts can transform into a multiplier symbol.
- Tome of Blood: This symbol triggers a spread feature that converts up to 4 surrounding symbols into wilds. There is also the chance the Tome of Blood can transform into a wild or multiplier symbol.
- Tome of Sacrifice: This selects between 1 and 4 low-value symbols and transforms all instances of them into their equivalent high-value symbols. The Tome of Sacrifice also has a chance to transform into the same random symbol or a multiplier.
The fourth Elemental feature, which you cannot trigger from the start, is:
- Tome of Firestorm: This will remove up to 12 random regular symbols from the reels before becoming a multiplier, determined by how many symbols were removed. An avalanche then takes place.
Multiplier Symbols
Speaking of multipliers, these can also land on the reels naturally and hold values between 2x and 100x. The value of all multipliers is added up at the end of a spin and applied to the total win. These can land on any of the four middle reels.

Once all four features are unlocked, triggering the slot’s two bonus games becomes possible. You’ll get the choice of two bonus games when four or more bonus symbols land anywhere in view.
Sun Free Spins
You receive an initial 4 free spins, and the Tome of Blood, Tome of Locusts, Tome of Sacrifice, and Tome of Firestorm are each discharged once in a random order across those spins. The Elemental Meter returns, although now filling it up with winning symbols will award another 4 free spins. You can do this up to 4 times with the following number of collected symbols for each level:
- First Re-Trigger: 80 winning symbols
- Second Re-Trigger: 100 winning symbols
- Third Re-Trigger: 120 winning symbols
- Fourth Re-Trigger: 140 winning symbols
Also, during this bonus game, a Total Win multiplier increases whenever multiplier symbols land on the reels. Whenever a new multiplier symbol lands and there is a win on a spin, the total multiplier now applies to the win.
Moon Free Spins
If you choose this bonus game, you receive 15 free spins with all four Elemental Features unlocked. Each new multiplier symbol that lands is collected and added to a total multiplier applied to all future multiplier wins. Furthermore, you can re-trigger 10 free spins up to 5 times by landing 4 bonus scatter symbols.
Scatter Boost Bet & Bonus Buy
The Scatter Boost Bet only becomes an option once you have unlocked all four Elemental Features. It costs 50% on top of your spin bet and gives you spins with 3 times the chance of triggering the bonus games. Regarding the Buy Bonus, this is unlocked throughout and allows you to purchase either of the bonus games for 100x the current stake.

Shadow Summoner Egypt takes the innovative progression system of the original and adds a fresh Egyptian twist along with a more complex feature set. Fans of the original will probably find the sequel equally engaging, thanks to the familiar mechanics in play that allows you to chase those increasingly powerful modifiers. The idea of gradually unlocking features adds a layer of strategy to the gameplay that you don’t often find in traditional slots.
