Shark Frenzy Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
There’s a huge range of water-themed online slots, including everything from fishing games like The Rodfather Megaways, mystical underwater experiences such as Magic Powers Megaways, and even other shark-based titles, including Razor Shark. Unfortunately, shark Frenzy doesn’t really stand out in this regard – there have been plenty of similar games released in the past, both visually and in terms of features. The 7,777x jackpot is a little better than what some other games offer, though; factor in the fast-paced gameplay and relatively easy-to-hit re-spin feature, and this one did keep me interested for quite some time.
As for the paytable, the unhappy-looking red fish is the most valuable of the bunch, awarding 60x the total bet for a full payline of five-of-a-kind. The smiling orange guy will pay you 40x your stake for all five of his symbols, whilst the yellow and blue fish drops to 30x for a complete pay line. There are two more high-paying fish – a green/yellow one at 20x and a blue spikey dude at 15x for all five symbols. There are just four low pays in addition to these – five aces or kings will get you 5x your bet back in returns, whilst the queens and jacks are a little less valuable at 4x for a five-of-a-kind combination.
The minimum bet available in Shark Frenzy is just €0.15 per spin, and the available range initially goes up in €0.15 increments. However, the gaps soon jump to €0.30 and grow as large as €15.00 once you start approaching the maximum bet of €60.00 per spin.
Base Game & Modifiers
In many ways, Shark Frenzy is a fairly typical online video slot. The reel set is a little larger than usual, though, with five columns of five rows each rather than the more standard 5×3 configuration. Despite this, the game still only offers 30 fixed paylines, which can sometimes make it feel challenging to score a win. On the plus side, the available payouts are certainly larger than what you would get from a 30-payline game with a 5×3 reel set.
Wild Shark & Respin Frenzy
The wild shark symbol can appear randomly on any spin; the re-spin frenzy feature will be activated when he does. In this mode, the regular paytable symbols are replaced by new reel strips that contain only treasure chests and bonus symbols.
After each re-spin, there is a chance that the shark will add extra treasure symbols to the reels. This is good, as any spin that concludes without a new symbol being added to the reels will cause the feature to end! At the end of the re-spin frenzy, you’ll get to discover how much you have won – each treasure symbol can be worth up to 500x your bet, so the returns can be quite substantial if you manage to fill a significant number of the 25 available positions.
Shark Frenzy Slot Bonus Features
Free spin scatter symbols are present on all five of Shark Frenzy’s reels, but you’ll only need to hit three of them to trigger the bonus round. A three-scatter trigger will award six free spins, increasing to eight or ten spins for four or five scatters, respectively.
Free Spins
In this mode, the wild shark symbol can appear randomly at the start of every spin. As with the base game, this will then trigger the re-spin feature. There is a global re-spin multiplier that increases by 1x during each round of the re-spin frenzy that occurs in free spin mode. The multiplier is only applied at the end of the final re-spin of each set, after which it is reset to 1x before the next free spin.
Fast Track Bonus Buy
There are three options on the bonus buy menu of this game – the re-spin frenzy can be purchased for 15x the normal price per spin, whilst the free spins feature will cost you 100x for 6-10 spins.
There’s also an enhanced free spin feature available at the cost of 200x the current stake, which offers an increased RTP as well as the global multiplier not being reset between free spins. This should make it much easier to score a big win, but unfortunately, you can only access this feature using the fast track menu – if you live in a prohibited jurisdiction, you won’t have any way of experiencing the game’s most exciting bonus round.

Shark Frenzy isn’t really a standout release for Slotmill – it’s a little better than average in most ways, but it doesn’t’ offer anything that you won’t have seen many times before when playing previous online slots. It’s worth a few spins, but you’ll probably have forgotten about the game in two or three months.
