I’m not quite sure where the Moon comes into this game – it could well be nothing more than the fact that the top jackpot amount is labelled the “Moon” jackpot. The phrase “to the moon” has become extremely popular amongst fans of cryptocurrency over the last few years, and I suspect that this will be the inspiration used by Wazdan to label their biggest prize. The reels feature old-school symbols such as stars and lucky sevens, so I guess there is a little bit of fruit machine inspiration thrown in here as well.
Looking at the paytable, the lucky seven is the biggest winner of the bunch – hit the minimum of eight of these and you will receive 2x your stake; you will need to hit 12 of them for a payout of 10x your stake, which is a bit more reasonable. At the top end, a full screen of 16 sevens will pay out 150x your stake. Looking at the 8/12/16 pay-outs for the second highest-paying symbol, the star, you can expect 1x, 3x, or 50x respectively. The last of the “high-paying” symbols is the Ace, which is quite unusual – the royal symbols are normally reserved for lower pay-outs. The return for this symbol is 1x, 2.5x, or 30x your stake for hitting 8, 12, or 16 Aces respectively. Remember, you do not need to hit these symbols on any pay ways or pay lines – if you have 12 Lucky Sevens anywhere on the screen after your spin completes, you will receive your 10x payout.
The bet size selector looks similar to the one used in Play’N’Go’s online slots, with a row of five options at the bottom of the screen and two left/right buttons which allow you to scroll through the various options. The minimum bet is €0.10 per spin, whilst the maximum is likely to be €100.00 per spin. I say “likely” as the maximum win in Wazdan’s games usually varies from one jurisdiction to the next.

You would not expect an unusual game such as this to use traditional slot mechanics, and Wazdan has not let us down in this respect. The normal playfield is a 4×4 grid, and each position of the grid will spin separately rather than being attached to the adjacent symbols above and below. There are no pay lines, and no pay ways – all you need to do in the Sizzling Moon™ video slot is gather enough matching symbols together anywhere on the screen.
Sticky Bonus Symbols Feature
As you are spinning the reels of Sizzling Moon™, keep your eyes out for these special sticky bonus symbols. Each one that lands has a counter attached to it, which can vary from 1 to 9. This is the number of spins that the symbol will remain on screen, increasing in value each time you spin the reels. The idea is, if you hit a bonus round with one of these on screen, it could end up adding huge value to your feature.
It’s not much, but it is better than nothing – you are still going to spend most of your time playing this slot praying for the bonus symbols to drop!
Sizzling Moon™ Slot Bonus Bonus Feature
The main bonus round has been copied from the bonus round featured in many land-based slots that you regularly see in slots videos on YouTube. The idea is, you begin with three spins, and each time an extra symbol lands, the counter will be reset to three. If you manage to fill the entire screen with bonus symbols, you will win the games grand jackpot which should be locked at 1,000x your current stake.
This feature does away with the regular reel set and replaces it with one that (almost) only contains bonus symbols. Each bonus symbol has a value attached to it, which you will collect at the conclusion of this feature.
There are just a small handful of other symbols on the reels during the Hold the Jackpot feature – these are the jackpot symbols, paying 20x your stake for the mini, 50x for the minor, and 150x for the major. If a mystery symbol lands, this will transform into one of the jackpots listed above. If a “Moon Mystery” symbol lands, hold your breath; this one symbol could transform into the Moon Jackpot, which will pay you 2,500x your stake immediately before discarding any and all previous winnings you have collected during the bonus round.

Yes, Wazdan are offering you a bonus round for 600x your stake. I had to try it – surely this must be the craziest feature ever when it costs 600x your stake to purchase? I gave it several tries, yet only managed to make a profit on one single occasion. I definitely recommend the cheaper bonus buy features here, but I would stay away from anything above 100x your stake.

Argh, Wazdan… you are killing me. I love these games – they are unique, innovative, and fun to play. Why is this 2,500x bet limit necessary?
As it stands, I must lower its score for this one reason alone. Let’s hope future Wazdan games will perhaps have a higher winning cap for players to aim for.
