Slingo Berserk Theme & Stakes

Join Forces With The Vikings As You Battle Your Way To Big Wins In Slingo Berserk

Upon entering Slingo Berserk you’ll find yourself out in the deadly seas where Viking Warships are anchored offshore, and a thunderstorm is powering above. Slingo Originals really have brought the Nordic theme to life in this title, and the design of the game along with the soundtrack have captured this period of time perfectly.

To get involved in the action it’s going to cost you a minimum of €0.20 a game, with the maximum stake reaching up to €25. Your placed bet will buy you 11 spins of the scrolling reel along the bottom of the play grid, with there being further opportunities to buy more spins later on in the game. I’ll talk about that in more detail in the coming sections of the review.

Slingo Berserk Game & Modifiers

The game kicks off with a 5×5 grid in place, and as the spins begin to roll in on the scrolling reel you will see any corresponding numbers that you have being marked off with a viking coin. You are of course hoping to cover as many of the numbers as possible, so that you can create completed lines and progress up the prize ladder this is situated to the left hand side of the grid. There are additional symbols that may appear within the scrolling reel, some of these can help you out in advancing further up the meter. They are as follows:

You’re going to need to complete a minimum of 3 lines on Slingo Berserk for a prize to be awarded. Now whilst this is very achievable as you have 11 spins to begin with, it’s going to be far more difficult to reach the upper tier of the prize section within these spins. This is where the additional spin purchases come into play.

After your initial 11 spins have ended, the game will offer you a few choices. You can choose to end the game if you have not reached a line prize and start a new one. You can collect your line prize if you have reached one, which will also end the game. Or you can buy an additional spin of the scrolling reel to try and mark off more numbers and move yourself further up the prize meter.

The cost to spin the reels again will depend on how far you have progressed up the prize meter. If you buy another spin and improve your position, then the price offered to you to spin again after that will increase. You should be aware that once you get to the higher levels of the prize table, that the cost to carry on can surge dramatically. Below I have highlighted the prize table for you, so that you can see how many lines you need to complete to win something:

Slingo Berserk Bonus Feature

Triggering The Bonus Feature On Slingo Berserk Will Award 1 Of 3 Jackpots
Triggering the bonus feature on Slingo Berserk will award 1 of 3 jackpots

As I talked about earlier, if the hammer symbol causes the coins to cascade, then the jackpot feature will be activated. Once this bonus is triggered you will be invited to pick from 12 coins, with each one revealing a coloured Viking. Match 3 Vikings and you will be awarded the correspond pot and its value. These can be seen below.

  • Mini Jackpot = 20x stake
  • Minor Jackpot = 40x stake
  • Major Jackpot = 500x stake
  • Mega Jackpot = 1000x stake

Slingo Berserk Review Final Thoughts

Viking themed games have historically been popular with players, so it made sense really for a Slingo game to be created about these mighty sea warriors. I have to say with regard to the design, smoothness of play, and overall feel to the game, that Slingo Originals have indeed done an outstanding job with Slingo Berserk.

The only thing I personally find that lets this game down is the lack of features that can be triggered within it. This has obviously not been designed to be a feature rich game, so this opinion is based on my preference of Slingo games only. If you’re a player that likes to keep their Slingo nice and simple, then you’ll likely find this an entertaining title to play.

There is obviously the one feature that can award a very nice 1000x your stake, but this isn’t going to be something that you see triggered every time that you play the game. So just keep it in mind that really you are playing for the multiplier values on the prize ladder, with the additional chance of winning a jackpot.
