Slingo Lightning Theme & Stakes

Slingo Lightning Has A Spooky And Mysterious Theme

There’s certainly an element of spookiness and mystery surrounding the theme of Slingo Lightning, and upon the gaming loading up you will experience an other worldly feel, one where perhaps the gods such as such Thor are looking down on you. The drama and feeling of anticipation continues to grow through the soundtrack of the game, which has an edgy and tense vibe to it. This creates the perfect setting for the whole theme of this Slingo title perfectly.

To play Slingo Lightning it will cost you a minimum of €0.20 a game, up to a maximum of €25. For this initial stake you will be given 8 spins of the number reel at the bottom of the grid. After those spins have ended you will be offered the opportunity to buy more. I’ll cover the additional purchases that you can make in the next section of the review.

Slingo Lightning Game & Modifiers

The More Slingos That You Complete On Slingo Lightning, The Higher You'll Climb On The Prize Meter

As is generally the case on a Slingo game, the action on Slingo Lightning takes place over a play grid of 5×5. The aim is of course to fill as many positions on the grid as possible, which in turn completes lines (Slingos) and moves you higher up the prize ladder to the left hand side of the reels. Along with the numbers that can appear on the reel at the bottom of the game, there are additional modifying symbols that can help you to make more lines. They are as follows:

As I previously mentioned, you will get 8 spins of the reels for your price of play on Slingo Lightning. This is below the normal amount of spins that you tend to get on a Slingo game, but this is due to the fact that Slingo Lightning only has 50 balls in play, rather than 75.

Even though there are less balls in play and you have the modifiers helping you too, it is still going to be extremely difficult with just 8 spins to make any serious headway up the prize ladder. So after your initial spins have ended, the game will offer you the chance to buy another spin. Depending on how many Slingos you have already completed, will determine the price that you are offered to spin the reels again.

This process will then continue until you either decide to collect a winning amount, complete a full house, or end the game and begin a new one. You should be aware that whilst the initial spins you will buy might be fairly cheap, once the grid begins to fill up the price to carry on can become very substantial, so set yourself a limit and stick to it

Slingo Lightning Review Final Thoughts

If fast paced lo-tech Slingo action is what you’re looking for, then Slingo Lightning is the prefect game for you. The lack of features may be slightly off putting for some players, but if you just like the concept of Slingo itself, then you’ve found your ideal match with this game.

Personally I prefer the games that have features included within them, as it adds a little more substance and entertainment. That is why I’ve scored the game below a 7, but appreciate the fact there will be players that prefer this version over the feature rich Slingo offerings.
