Space Invaders, the video game, represents the base theme of this online game, and that brings it quite the unique edge overall. What you may not know is that Inspired Gaming has also released an official online slot game that is entitled Space Invaders, and it operates as an actual slot, rather than a roulette game. So, if you want something that operates more so as a slot machine, that is the one to access. Within this roulette version though, you’ll see that everything is nicely designed, featuring some nice graphics and animations throughout. This becomes more evident once the roulette wheel starts spinning. The sounds included in the slot are also very nicely done, including some arcade noises akin to the original game.
There aren’t any symbols in the Space Invaders Roulette video game, because as it we touched on in the intro it isn’t actually a slot game. Instead, you’ll see a standard roulette table with all of the numbers involved on it, and this operates in the European style setup, meaning that there is just a single green zero to bet on, rather than a double zero as well. You can also bet on the red or black sections, odd or even, 1 to 18, 19 to 36, and so on. The maximum payout that you can expect from placing a wager is 35/1, which is provided if you place a bet on a specific number that wins.
Speaking of your bets, these are placed by using the poker chips at the bottom of the game screen. Clicking on the one currently in action displays all the other possibilities, which run from the minimum of €0.20 and increase up to €100. Different betting options come with different maximum wager possibilities, but columns, dozens, red and black, even and odds, and 1-18 and 19-36, all allow maximum wagers of €10,000 to be placed on them.

The base game is made up of a standard European roulette table where you need to place your bets. You then hit the Bet button on the right-hand side, and this starts the gameplay off. The roulette ball spins in the wheel and whichever number segment it lands in is the winning one. Wins of anywhere between evens and 35/1 can be garnered, depending upon the type of bet you have placed in the game.
Special Numbers
For every spin of the roulette wheel, up to five Space Invaders will randomly appear above numbered sections on the betting table. Each invader that is hit by a cannon reveals a multiplier, and this enhances the odds for that number. This can increase up to 500/1, again depending upon the wager that you have placed. At the same time, the UFO may fly over the reels, and if it is hit by the cannon, then all multiplier values are doubled.
Those enhanced odds are applied to all winning single number, split and corner bets placed in the round. Enhanced odds are half the multiplier value for split bets and quarter the multiplier value for corner bets. The possible multipliers coming into play can be 50x, 100x, 150x, 200x or 250x. Each of those can then be doubled if the UFO is hit by a cannon.
Only after all special numbers have been decided upon will the roulette wheel spin and the ball be released into it to decide upon the winning number for that round.

Space Invaders Roulette is quite the imaginative release from Inspired Gaming. It takes the premise of a classic video game and merges it with a popular casino game to create something unique and entertaining. The addition of the Special Numbers multiplier perk is another great part about the game, and doubtless this is something that will bring many more people to it to play.
