Let’s go up a gear by checking out the symbols and payouts on the Speed Winner slot next. The Sportscar is the most valuable symbol and is worth 5x the stake when involved in a 6-symbol winning combination. The Wheel, Petrol Pump, Racing Gloves, and Tools are the remaining premium symbols and will pay up to 4x, 3x, 1.5x, and 1.5x, respectively, for a full line of six. The least exciting pays come from the royals, with the Ace and King awarding 1x for a completed line of six and the Queen, Jack, and Ten all returning 0.4x for a six of a kind hit. Helping you create winning combinations along the way are wild symbols which can drop onto reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. They will replace other regular symbols required to create a winning combination.

Speed Winner Slot Base Game & Modifiers
The 5-6-6-6-6–5 reel configuration used on Speed Winner is one I’ve come across on numerous slots recently. It has 6 reels, 5 rows and a 4-position horizontal reel above the middle reels. Each of the six rolls can spin in between 2 and 5 symbols. Altogether, this creates the potential of spins with between 2,025 and 32,400 ways to win. No matter how many ways are possible, you’re rewarded with payouts whenever 3 or more matching symbols land on the consecutive reels. The first symbol must land on the first reel, and subsequent symbols must land on adjacent reels to the right. A tumble feature allows the possibility of more wins each spin by removing all symbols involved in a winning combination. That leaves space for new symbols to drop into the action.
Multiplier Symbols
Multiplier symbols can land during the base game and free spins. They will have a multiplier value between 2x and 10x during both. At the end of the spin, all multiplier values are added up and will apply to the total win of that spin.
Speed Winner Slot Bonus Features
If four or more bonus scatter symbols drop onto the reels during a spin, you’re rewarded with the free spins bonus game. Four triggering scatter symbols give you 8 free spins of the reels, and any additional scatter symbols on the triggering spin will provide you with an extra 2 free spins.
Free Spins Feature
Whilst the free spins play out pretty much the same as the base game, you will find that during the feature the multiplier values from the multiplier symbols are now collected and do not reset between spins.

- The base game is not the bore-fest found on many other slots.

Cons
- I am not convinced with the claimed medium variance. I’d class ASGardian Rising in the high volatility category.
Speed Winner Slot Review Final Thoughts
Overall, Speed Winner is a decent addition to the PG Soft portfolio. However, I did feel like I’d played the slot before, as it seems pretty similar to several other PG Soft titles I’ve reviewed recently. That said, I’d be lying if I told you I didn't enjoy playing Speed Winner, not just because of the theme but because The Megaways-like mechanic and cascading reels alongside multipliers provide some entertaining gameplay.
