Spin A Winner (Blueprint) Slot Demo & Review

Most of the Blueprint games I have reviewed recently have been Megaways orientated, so it’s nice to get a chance to see what the developer is doing when they aren’t topping up Big Time Gaming’s outrageous licensing fees once in a while! And their Spin a Winner online slot is made even more attractive by the fact that it’s a gameshow-themed machine, which is something that I believe most of us enjoy. Better yet, this is a ten-line game with a monstrous jackpot of 50,000x your stake and a slightly more ordinary RTP of 96.09%.

The game show theme plays out with a “wheel of fortune” style wheel used both as the scatter symbol and as a means of deciding what rewards you will receive after hitting three or more scatter symbols. The wheel will award cash prizes indefinitely, only stopping when you land on a free spin segment, adding additional bonus wheel spins to your feature. All you need to do is be lucky!

So, are you ready to spin the wheel for yourself? I think you should! There’s a bunch of fun to be had here, and I have to write a review instead of playing our free demo slot of Spin a Winner… life just isn’t fair sometimes, is it?

Paytable For Spin A Winner Slot

Once again, Blueprint Gaming’s Spin a Winer online slot is a gameshow-themed machine with an old-school ten-line payout scheme that plays out on a 5×3 playfield. There have certainly been lots of “Wheel of Fortune” themed games over the years, although many of the best ones have ended up staying in the land-based casinos of Las Vegas instead of being made available on the web. This is a shame, as it’s a theme that I enjoy, so I am glad that Blueprint has decided to give us something similar for online play.

But does the paytable hold up? Ten-line games usually have attractive paytables due to the low frequency of winning combinations compared to games with larger numbers of pay lines. In the Spin a Winner slot game, the top prize is listed on the paytable as “1500”, which does not consider the currently selected stake. I can’t understand why Blueprint would not spend a few extra minutes when programming the game to make its paytable reflect the currently selected stake, but, alas, that is the situation we have.

Sorry, I got a little bit distracted there! As we were saying, the top prize is listed as 1500. With some investigation, I managed to establish that Blueprint is working in coins here, so regardless of your bet, you are always betting ten coins and the number shown on the paytable is also in coins. Therefore, a full line of wild symbols will pay 150x your bet for five-of-a-kind. This is followed by the red sports car at 100x, the yellow speed boat at 50x, and the watches and golf clubs, both of which will pay you 40x your bet for a full pay line of five-of-a-kind.

The betting range is typically wide, as is often the case with games made by top-tier developers. You can bet between €0.10 as the minimum and €100.00 as the maximum for each paid spin, but far more increments are available towards the lower end of the scale.

Base Game & Modifiers

Play With 10 Paylines And Win Up To 50,000x Your Bet In Spin A Winner Online Slot From Provider Blueprint Gaming

I’m not sure if Blueprint could be related to Aristocrat and the other software houses in that group, as the look and feel of the Spin a Winner video slot is very much reminiscent of the land-based games that have been produced by those guys in the past. It’s a typical 5×3 reel slot, and with just ten fixed paylines, I would have hoped for some bigger wins on the base game paytable.

Even better, Blueprint could have included a small base game mod or two, but I guess you will have to be happy with the bonus round this time!

Spin A Winner Slot Free Spins Feature

3 Or More Wheel Scatter Symbols Landing In View Will Trigger The Bonus Feature On Spin A Winner Video Slot

Speaking of that bonus round, the scatter symbol is designed to look like the bonus wheel that you will be spinning to decide how your features will play out. Hitting three scatter bonus wheels will award you one feature, whilst four or five will award two or three features respectively. Once you arrive at the bonus wheel you will be able to spin indefinitely, collecting cash prizes as you go. This stage of the feature will only complete when you land on a free spins segment, which will begin a further bonus round instead.

During the free spins won from the bonus wheel, you will be able to hit additional scatters and collect further wheel spins that you can use when you make it back to the bonus wheel. If you arrive at the wheel with three features (triggered by five scatter symbols) then you can end up playing free spins features for quite a while, as you can retrigger the bonus round multiple times for every spin of the wheel.

During my testing, this was a great feature, especially if you hit more than three scatter symbols. I particularly love the fact that you can keep collecting cash prizes in between free spins features, and I even hit a 500x stake segment whilst I was reviewing the game!

Spin A Winner Slot Review Final Thoughts

Ah, thank you Blueprint – this game is right up my street, and I have spent far longer reviewing it than I usually would any other game. I love the theme, the presentation, and the payouts from the bonus round – what more can you ask for?
