Pros
- If you're a big fan of the Dutch electronic record label, you'll enjoy this collaboration with Play'n GO.
- The steps feature can increase cash symbols in the base game and during the Hold & Win feature.
- The bonus round can be played on a grid up to 5x5 in size.
Cons
- If you've never heard of Spinnin' Records then the theme isn't likely to appeal much to you at all.
- The max win is only 4,000x. I thought it would have been higher for a collaboration and a headline title.
Spinnin Records Into The Beat Slot Reveiw Final Thoughts
I have to be honest with you; this is not my style of music at all, and whilst I can appreciate the art and bop my head along to the odd tune, I had no idea who Spinnin' Records was. So, all I can do in this situation is judge the game on how good I think it is and leave the theme to one side, as, like me, you either know about Spinnin' Records or you don't.
Okay, we've got ourselves another Hold & Win slot, although the feature is referred to as Lock N' Spin in this title due to the theme, but it does the same thing once it's triggered regardless. So, what does the game do in an attempt to stand out from the 100s of other releases using this game mechanic? That would be the "Steps" element of the slot, a number generated at the top of the reels between 1 and 5, activating when the record player symbol appears. The steps will then increase the value of all money symbols in view before awarding them as a prize, and this is potentially lucrative in the bonus round, where your held cash values can be increased multiple times.
One last thing to look out for is the number of symbols you trigger the feature with. Although it's possible to increase the size of the playfield once the bonus has started, if you activate the Lock N' Spin feature with at least 8 symbols, it will be played out on a super-sized 5x5 grid.
So, to conclude, is this a slot game you should be rushing to play? If you like the theme and are into the music, why not? If, however, you're like me, a few spins and a couple of bonuses will probably be enough before you move on to something new.
