Sticky Piggy Slot Theme, Stakes, Pays & Symbols
Booongo’s imagination doesn’t quite stretch to the lengths of the developers who came up with the recent Peaky Pigs online slot, but hey, not everybody wants gangster pigs with razor blades under their flat caps, do they? It’s quite a scary proposition, actually, so perhaps there is plenty of room for a more light-hearted take on the piggy bank slot genre – that’s where Sticky Piggy comes in, I guess, and the theme works well, blending a cartoon-like atmosphere with excellent presentation and a quirky little soundtrack that never became tiring on my ears whilst I was writing this review.
So far, so good, then, but how about the paytable? We’ve got a top at wearing banker type sitting pretty at the head of the table, and he’ll pay you 37.5x your bet for every five-of-a-kind payline you manage to complete featuring his symbols. A pretty female waving wads of cash takes the second-placed spot, and she’s worth 25x your bet for all five of her symbol. A dreaded robber-type is next, and is worth 15x for each completed pay line of him, closely followed by a redhead bearing a crowbar – I must say, lady, you look mighty suspicious! Nevertheless, she’s worth 10x your bet for all five, whilst a newspaper and set of keys finish off the high-paying symbols with payouts of 7.5x and 5x your bet, respectively.
The betting range starts at €0.20 and tops out at €30.00 per spin, which seems like an adequate spread for any sensible player, and, indeed, any of the high rollers among you.
Base Game & Modifiers
The base game consists of a typical five reel, three row layout, and I was surprised to see just how few dead spins this game delivers, bearing in mind the somewhat low 20 fixed paylines. Sure, many of your wins won’t be anything to shout about, but it’s always better to win something than nothing!
Piggy Wild Symbols
Wild symbols are often a godsend in any slot, but the fact that they appear in stacks makes them even more useful (and valuable) in Sticky Piggy. Better yet, whenever more than one piggy wild forms part of a winning pay line, the multiplier shown on each symbol is multiplied together with other visible wild symbols that are part of the same winning pay line, making for a maximum multiplier of 27x if you are lucky enough to catch three wilds with the maximum 3x multiplier value.
Sticky Piggy Slot Bonus Features
The bonus scatter symbols appear on all five reels, but you only need to land three of them to trigger the free spins bonus round. Three scatters will award a cash prize of 1x your bet on top of the feature award, but four scatters increases this to 10x, and a five-scatter trigger will add a 50x bonus to your balance before the free spins even begin.
Free Spins
The number of free spins awarded each time you score a bonus round is decided randomly; it’s not clear whether your chances of winning more free spins are increased if the bonus is triggered by more than three scatter symbols, and I was not able to hit four or five scatters during my testing to even try and give an opinion on this.
In truth, it probably doesn’t matter – I hit 12 free spins on two occasions during testing, so it’s obviously possible to receive the more generous bonus rounds no matter how many triggering scatters are involved.
During free spins, all wild symbols that land on the centre three reels will become sticky for the remaining duration of the feature. If you can fill all three reels with wilds, I imagine the maximum win from this feature may be enormous. Sadly, my own results weren’t particularly fantastic, although I did manage to surpass 200x my bet on a couple of occasions, which isn’t at all terrible.
Bonus Buy
The bonus buy feature offers you the chance to purchase the larger numbers of free spins directly and also lists these options next to the number of triggering scatters – I can only presume that this means you are guaranteed the larger number of free spins when using these options, even if it is possible to also win them organically.
A three-scatter trigger will cost you 100x the usual spin price, whilst a four-scatter trigger costs 200x, and a five-scatter trigger will set you back a whopping 400x your current bet. Are those prices worth it? I’m honestly not sure… take it easy on the 400x option, though, as that’s a very high price to pay for any feature, regardless of how good it may be.

Another solid slot from Booongo and one that I’ll definitely be playing some more in the future. Out of all the recent pig-themed games, this has to be one of the best!
