Game Overview
Let’s face it; we’ve all used the phrase filthy rich or stinking rich at some point in our lives, often referring to somebody not short of a few quid. Well, thanks to Slingo Originals teaming up with IGT, the latter has transformed their popular slot title Stinkin’ Rich into a Slingo format to present players with the chance to stack up the cash for themselves. So get ready for a money mad experience as you taste the high life in the Stinkin’ Rich Slingo game.
One thing this Slingo title is not short of is features and ways to win. Complete the lines on your card, and you can exchange for either various levels of the Trash Can Bonus or multiple variants of the Keys to Riches Free Spins. That’s not all, though; there are 3 fixed jackpots also up for grabs, with the top pot weighing in at 1,000x your bet.
Before you go and shower, wash the smell of that lovely money off you; why not find out more about the game in our full review below. We’ve also included a free play demo of Stinkin’ Rich Slingo if you’d rather just jump into the action and try it out yourself.
Stinkin’ Rich Slingo Theme, Pays, Stakes & Symbols
I’ve loved the activity of Slingo Originals lately, mainly because they keep teaming up with other providers or companies to bring branded Slingo content to players. These recent titles include Slingo Da Vinci Diamonds and Slingo Shark Week, both of which are prevalent themes in their own right within their respective slot and tv genres. So what’s next on the list, you might ask? That, my Slingo loving friends, happens to be a game called Stinkin’ Rich Slingo, which first started as a slot developed by IGT. Reading between the lines on this release, you would suspect that this particular game is being aimed at the USA market, as the slot version of it remains incredibly popular there even to this day.
It’s business as usual when it comes to getting yourself set up to play for real money. You’ll first need to click on the stack of coins and select a bet size comparable to your bankroll. These start from a minimum of €0.20 a game and reach up to a pretty mind blowing €100. For the cost of your selected stake, you will receive 10 spins of the number reel placed below the main grid of numbers. There is the possibility to buy more spins after your initial 10, and I’ll come to that a little further on into the review. Wrapping up this section, we finish with the return to player percentage. This comes in at a value of 95.72%, so marginally higher than what we tend to see as an average on a Slingo game.
Stinkin’ Rich Slingo Gameplay & Modifiers
I believe that Stinkin’ Rich Slingo is the only game I can recall that deviates from the classic Slingo grid format of 5×5 where 25 random numbers from 1 – 90 are then placed within it. Just for a bit more clarity on that, the grid is still 5×5 in size, but to match the format of its slot counterpart, the top and bottom positions of the 3rd row have been blanked out, so in essence, you need to cross off fewer numbers to complete a line and move up the prize ladder, win win I’d say.
So, of course, as we know in a Slingo game it’s all about matching as many numbers as you possibly can, and if you can get a little bit of help along the way then that sure is gonna be fine and dandy. Offering some assistance on this front we have the special symbols that can appear in the number reel. These are highlighted for you below, and what you can expect from them when they do arrive.
Jackpot Overlay Symbols
Whilst the number reel is spinning, you will notice that a number may have a Jackpot Overlay symbol on it every now and then. If 3 or more of these appear in the rolling reel along the bottom of the grid on any spin, you will be awarded one of the following jackpot prizes.
- 3 Jackpot Symbols: Smelly Rich 50x pot bonus awarded.
- 4 Jackpot Symbols: Filthy Rich 150x pot bonus awarded.
- 5 Jackpot Symbols: Stinkin’ Rich 1,000x pot bonus awarded.
Buying Additional Spins
Once your initial 10 spins of the number reel are up, the game will offer you the opportunity to buy more spins if you wish. These are offered as single spins, and the amount you need to spend to buy them will always be displayed before you decide whether you want to go through with it or not. I always suggest you take care when purchasing more spins, as the costs can spiral very quickly if you begin to chase after a number or two. It’s undoubtedly a wise move before you start playing to set the game controls so that you can only bet so much per round.
Stinkin’ Rich Slingo Bonus Features
As you progress up the prize ladder, you will see that the game doesn’t offer any monetary awards. Instead, your winning lines can only be exchanged for features, and there are two of these on offer, which have been explained below.
Trash For Cash Feature
Depending upon how high you are up the prize ladder will determine the level of Trash for Cash feature that you receive. The basic idea of this bonus round is that you pick just one bin that will reveal a multiplier value. All other bins then open to reveal a cash value. Your multiplier is then applied to the total winnings and paid into your balance.
Key To Riches Free Spins
If you exchange for the Key to Riches free spins, you will be taken to a 5×5 reel set containing 100 paylines. Your spins will play out with the total sum of winnings added to your balance. If you also have a multiplier attached to your bonus, this will be applied to your winnings after the bonus has ended.
Stinkin’ Rich Slingo Review Final Thoughts
If you’ve ever read one of my Slingo reviews before, then you will know that I’m fond of feature rich games rather than those that are just a plain and simple Slingo game. This made Stinkin’ Rich Slingo fun and exciting to play, and out of the 2 bonus rounds, I have to say that I enjoyed the free spins feature the most. One thing that did grab my attention in this game was the soundtrack. I can only guess that the creators had watched a few episodes of The Simpsons before they made it. Anyway, give the game a try in the above demo and see if you enjoyed it as much as I did.
