Apologies for my shortness at the end of the last paragraph. We very much like to make our site appear uniform, and overly long introductions mess up our formatting. In truth, I don’t think there are any other games that spring to mind that truly share the theme of this game, so I guess we have to give Red Tiger a few points for originality here. Well done guys! So, how does the paytable look in this one? As ever, Red Tiger has been lazy and refused to create a paytable that will update as you change your stake. Seriously guys, if you are going to skip that simple bit of code, why not just show the return in terms of multiple of the current stake? Luckily, you have me to do the work for you! The highest-paying regular symbol is the holy grail, I presume – it’s a golden cup, after all! The listed figure is 300, and as these numbers are based on the minimum bet, it is worth 15x for a full payline of five-of-a-kind. Next, we have Versace Egg – damn, these guys must have some serious cash – which is worth 12.5x for each line of five. A blue gem-encrusted necklace is next and will pay you 10x your bet for each pay line of those. The green gem encrusted ring takes fourth place with a return of 6.25x; finally, somebodies treasured medal will pay you 2.5x for a line of those. Hmm. Call that a high-paying symbol, Red Tiger?
Betting options are reasonably limited here – a minimum bet of €0.10 per round is allowed, as is a maximum bet of just €8.00 – no crazy options available here. I genuinely think that the developer deserves some credit for this – €8.00 is a perfectly max bet, in my opinion. Perhaps we will do a poll here at Demoslot and find out your views on this matter!
Base Game & Modifiers
Let’s move on to the base gameplay, which uses a five-reel setup with an expanded area of four reels rather than the typical three. There is no problem with such a setup, but remember that there are still just 25 fixed pay lines – a common number for a 5×3 slot but a little low for a 5×4 slot.
Red Tiger has made up for this in two ways; first, the wild symbol appears much more commonly than in other slots. Secondly, all symbols are stacked on the reels, which helps enormously when it comes to hitting multiple paylines at once.
Treasure Boxes
These special symbols not only contain cash prizes but are also the key to accessing the bonus round in this game. The treasure box symbol can land anywhere on all five reels. They act as blockers, unfortunately, just like regular scatter symbols.
On the bright side, hitting two of these will award you a monetary value that combines the amounts in both visible boxes. Unfortunately, the prizes can only be up to 20x your bet, so the maximum consolation prize for two boxes is just 40x your bet. On the other hand, hitting three boxes will trigger the game’s primary feature – see below for details.
Stolen Treasures Slot Bonus Features
Hitting three treasure boxes on the reels will start the hold and respin feature with three spins. If you hit four or five treasure boxes, you will begin with four or five lives, respectively.
Hold & Respin Feature
During this mode, all of the treasure boxes which triggered the bonus will become sticky and locked in place for the duration of the bonus round. Oh yes, we should mention – the Hold & Re-Spin feature takes place on an entirely different reel set which contains only treasure box symbols!
Each new treasure box that lands on an empty position will reveal a new cash prize and reset the number of lives you currently have back to three, four, or five. If a box lands on top of an existing box which already awarded a prize, the prize will be doubled and awarded to you for a second time. Note that this procedure can occur multiple times, making some positions pay 4x, 8x, or even higher!
If you manage to fill the screen with treasure boxes but still have lives left, your remaining lives will be used to double the value of some of the existing boxes. This is great because the final box to complete the grid will always return your lives up to the maximum, guaranteeing you three, four, or five additional payout doublers.
Oh, and as a final treat, if you did manage to fill the grid, the value of your entire winnings will also be doubled. I can see how the testing of this game resulted in a win of over 10,000x the bet!
Stolen Treasures Slot Review Final Thoughts
I can’t say I thought much of this game when I first started playing it, but once you get into it, it doesn’t take long for you to see features, mechanics, or bonus rounds you like and enjoy. Stolen Treasures could well turn out to be a hidden gem – wouldn’t that be ironic?
